    You seem utterly confused. A copy is only a copy if it's a copy. Thus, a physical copy does not "believe" it is "you" - it is you.

    Why do you believe consciousness is, at all, separated from the physical structure and working state of your brain? There's no actual support in science for such a view.

    Susan Blackmore's book "Consciousness: An introduction" is much recommended.

    While I did research this myself (easy, use either a GPS unit or time between markes that are on many roads in some countries) it's also logical that they're biased too low. What would happen if the car makers produced cars that showed a legal speed to the driver while the actual was over the speed limit?

    Better safe than sorry, which fits with what I found.

    OTOH - this search (in Swedish) shows the 4-5 first hits saying exactly the same as I'm writing. The first is to a science mag, the third gave me a link to the Swedish "road authority" which actually says in clear text that a speedometer MUST never show a value below the real speed.

    Road authority manual (in Swedish) chapter 33 paragraph 5 is the interesting one with a formula, and paragraph 6 says the maximum error is 10%.

    5-10% is actually with the correct manufacturer spec'ed tires!

    (I researched this a while back. One car I've had was 10% off, my current only 2% but that's quite rare)

    If they are that far ahead of you, why do you _brake_ at all? Just lift off, or downshift. You're one of the persons creating the jams with your driving style.

    My solution is to just go the speed limit. Everyone else is going speed limit +5 or +10 or more.

    Most speedometers display a speed 5-10% lower than the actual. Check yours - you'll probably be surprised.

    You do realise that the language you used in your reply to me would be considered offensive not that many years ago .. ?

    It's hard to see changes when they happen. It's not that hard to see them in retrospect. Just apply the same changes to todays language, with influences from teh Intarnetz world of memes (w00t!) and I hope you'll agree with my previous post ;)

    There are lots of Wiis in stock in shops in Sweden. Where do you want them sent?

    (Seriously, I have no idea what Nintendo is up to, but claiming there's a severe shortage of PAL Wiis in the UK with lots of PAL Wiis available in other countries - only the plug on the AC adapter differs - doesn't sound right. Add a firmware flash and then the same hardware would become NTSC ... )

    1) You're wrong about Fox. See previous list. If you have problems reading text, have someone to help you.
    2) Combo discs have nothing to do with the actual format and backwards compatibility (and can of course be made for Blu-ray as well)
    3) You might want to seek help with your apparent social difficulties

    Oh, btw. Both formats do not work "just as well". Blu-ray is technically better, outsells HD DVD by a large amount, and there's absolutely no point in childish denying of the sorts you're doing here.

    (Maybe you don't know that "HD DVD" only titles also appear on Blu-ray in countries where the existing distributors for those companies also have deep Blu-ray connections?)

    There is no competition. HD DVD is dead.

    In reality, the only reason anyone would ever chose HD DVD over Blu-ray is because of being a childish fanboy. The "war" has been over for a long time - which is obvious everywhere but in the US media.

    (Practically all Blu-ray movies are region free, and there's absolutely no more backwards compatibility with HD DVD compared to Blu-ray. They're both not compatible with DVD at all)

    Exactly. There's no Wii-shortage here, quite the opposite, even the biggest franchises in the big cities have plenty of Wiis and see no shortage whatsoever come christmas.

    Why Nintendo fails to reallocate them I can't understand.
