Apparently there's this belief that going outside=getting in shape. perhaps doing things with your kids, rather than telling them to "go outside"? *nix Servers are in use all over the city. UAB Uses them for all student services (except the main portal). The Birmingham news uses *nix servers for their network. UAB Students are required to use Firefox on their windows PCs due to the Shoddiness of Internet Explorer.
Not only are we becoming open source, we're moving away from Microsoft. Maybe that's why UAB is considering alternatives to VISTA due to it's horrid "key activation" plan.
