OH yeah, put them in sports. Putting them in sports, where they'll learn attitude and respect from watching crazed little-league parents?

Apparently there's this belief that going outside=getting in shape. perhaps doing things with your kids, rather than telling them to "go outside"? What if you have a bad neighbourhood, or an only child? Are you saying that to cover your fatass so you won't take precious time out of your life, to help shape your child's life?

it always goes to the old "My job keeps me from doing things with my kid".why did the parents that spout that excuse have a kid in the first place if they can't do anything with it?

If you want safety, you must first take the safety off. when everyone has a deadly weapon, no one will use it, no crime will be committed. Well, not that survives the first mass self-culling, anyway.

Is it always cool to downmod when you can say so much in one word? Few things in life can be done like that. Amazon.com screwed up, which is pretty weird to me given how many people mantain and check for errors. Oops! Besides, it's pretty bad a bunch of fanboys can crash a site that should be able to resist traffic spikes. So not only was my point valid, it generated interesting conversation. apparently that deserves a 0.

Of course. *nix Servers are in use all over the city. UAB Uses them for all student services (except the main portal). The Birmingham news uses *nix servers for their network. UAB Students are required to use Firefox on their windows PCs due to the Shoddiness of Internet Explorer. Not only are we becoming open source, we're moving away from Microsoft. Maybe that's why UAB is considering alternatives to VISTA due to it's horrid "key activation" plan.
