so you think the famously non-technical governments taking over the development of a version of Linux would turn out to be a great OS? I've used Linux as it is now and it completely and utterly sucks. There was almost no thought put into ease of use or easy user understandability. And I don't know what Linu is but Linux is open source and anyone can take all the code and make their own new version.
Um, what? Are you saying the fines and/or the cost of documenting the API are greater than the profit they'd lose from ceeding an entire market to Linux and giving governments even more reasons to heavily invest in the advancement of opensource? Sorry but that's bullshit.
You're a complete, irreperable moron. They have to pay almost a billion to those greedy idiots after a corrupt, biased, bullshit trial and go ahead and google search what % of windows copies in Europe are pirated. If they pulled it from there, which is easy as pie to enforce no matter what you think, they'd have saved probably 2 billion or more and showed those idiots what happens when they create their own bullshit lawsuits and run them through their own bullshit courts just to get some money.

and they wouldn't have gotten sued and with the lawsuit they'll never turn a profit on Vista, especially with the amount of pirates in Europe. Speaking of that, with them out of the picture they could get rid of a lot of the fancy crap like WGA and scale it down a bit to something less anti-Germany and just make the not work in Europe code better. Plus if NO copies of windows past ME are supposed to be there, it'd be really easy for whistle blowers, especially with a cash reward incentive from Microsoft. Plus eventually after they're practically amish and their half working eurolinux OS crashes for the millionth time and they're back to using abacuses, the gov would realize what dumbasses they've been and let Windows include whatever they want. Then after ridiculously playing the race card he STILL refuses to leave and they warn him to get up and cooperate or they'll taze him again at least a half dozen more times and he doesn't so guess what, they taze him again! DUH! If he didn't see that coming, he's a moron. Though I'd say it's a bit fuzzy and hard to tell what's going on later so he may or may not have deserved the extra tazingins but he probably did. And the other students actually think there's something wrong with how the police handled it? Are they that used to insane, uncooperative people with out of control tempers and other serious issues at their college with no respect for rules or the police? The guy had to be so unstable to get that pissed over being asked to leave a library because he didn't have his card or whatever before they even tazed him, not the mention that the police were probably called because he was already going on a rant about refusing to leave and spewing ridiculous racial bullshit to the staff members there. lmao, you're funny. All black holes have an ergosphere unless they're literally not moving at all. It's clear you have no idea what you're talking about so I won't even bother to type a whole big thing about what scientists who know what they're talking about think about how large singularities are regardless of how far out the event horizon is. It's either a simple physics statement that it's infinitely small but large enough to exist because if it was 0, it wouldn't exist or it's barel;y larger than a quark because two quarks can occupy the same spot in space if they're traveling at different speeds and if they weren't moving, they would be in the same spot so they're kinda vibrating a tiny bit so that they are technically covering area and thus moving at a certain speed. Either way you're wrong. As for everyone thinking that a guy with a jet pack and BB gun could take down a plane BY HITTING IT, that's not what I said. You don't hit the black hole with anything, you fire next to it and it converts the inertial forward motion to rotation when the black hole pulls in the object. Imagine like 10 more moons the size of ours flying past Earth and getting sucked into it and spirals in and lands in a nice little circle, the earth's spin speed would fall to like half or less if they were going in the opposite direction or double or more if it was in the traveling with the spin direction. Here's a quote from a well known paper (though their example has the object also spinning as it spirals in)
A non-radial intrinsic spin gives a term in the energy-momentum tensor, which is not present for a radial pointing spin and which represents the spin contribution to total angular momentum. As the particle falls in the Schwarzschild black hole acquires a small rotation.
  13. Re:why spinning it good on Fastest Spinning Black Hole Ever Found · · Score: 0

because you suck at physics I guess. If you shot a whole bunch of 100 mile wide asteroids at an angle...umm I guess the best way to describe it is to say there was a 1000 mile tall flagpole on earth's surface going straight up and you aim for just above the tip of it, then the asteroids' would curve in and eventually spiral in to earth's surface cuz of gravity. The forward inertia is absorbed through this process and earth spins slightly faster in the direction that the asteroids were heading. It's like shooting an airsoft gun at a spinning beach ball in space coated in glue. If they all hit at the same point, each airsoft BB that hits it makes it spin faster in that direction. Same with black holes.

  15. why spinning it good on Fastest Spinning Black Hole Ever Found · · Score: 1, Interesting

They didn't mention it in the article but thankfully I'm a black hole expert :-D There's a theory that says since the singularity is infinitely small then technically no matter is actually moving when it's rotating so it doesn't have to obey the speed of light speed limit and may be able to rotate faster than the speed of light. No idea how they can measure the speed if there's no radius but anyway, if it gets up to that speed they theorize that it will completely stop emitting gravity and either just sit there or explode, but most likely just sit there. This is the only known (well, in theory) way to "destroy" a black hole so when one comes and sucks up Pluto, thus ending that stupid debate, and is heading for Earth, we can just shoot particles into it at the correct angle and it will absorb the kinetic energy and translate it into spin and eventually spin so fast it effectively isn't dangerous anymore :)

Go to your church or something, write them a program, and put it on there and don't apply at some mega-company. But it sounds like you do want to get into gaming and they absolutely DO NOT like hiring ppl without specific gaming degrees and if they do, they probably make crap games like horrible movie tie in ones or something. If you're going to work on game engines seperate from your job and just be a regular programmer, then you'd want to take a lot of the gaming courses as electives and get the normal degree though. And in response to your other post, you'll absolutely need calculus and any geometry courses they have and I'd also suggest an advanced trigonometry (sometimes disguised as "pre-calculus") which comes in handy with physics stuff.
