Just like the smart car, this new design doubles as a coffin too. For a few dollars more you can get the optional sunroof for those that want open casket ceremonies.
The Kansas City Hyatt Regency walkway collapse was an engineering problem. The contractor asked to take a shortcut (instead of threading a nut up a three story threaded rod, they asked to cut the rod and offset it several inches) and the engineers rubber-stamped it without checking what the ramifications would be. The engineering part was not originally flawed, but it was when they approved the change order.
I've always viewed the U.N as a corrupt orginization and an enemy of the US. I'm sure many agree. The UN should know all about torture, turning a blind eye to it and having the countries of Cuba, China and Russia as Human Rights Council members makes that organization even more of a joke. There is believable and then there is UN-believable.
I don't know about the mathematics part of the Chinese entrance exams, but the Chinese entrance tests on English are absolutely horrible. I spent more time trying to decipher the poor grammar of the exam questions than I did in answering the questions. My thought is that the emphasis of particular subjects is what differentiates the UK and the US from countries like China. Whereas the UK and US focus more on literature and composition, and the Chinese focus more on mathematics.
Maybe we could save some of that money spent on establishing military control of nations on the other side of the globe and use it to fund our educational system.
Nah, it costs more to teach kids Arabic and qurans cost money too.
Wikipedia is a great place to start your research, get in, get your feet wet, learn a general feel of the overall topical area, and give the student enough information to pursue subareas of interest. After all there are references at the end of most Wiki's to help out. But I would have to agree with the History professors that it should not be used as a sole reference.
I was thinking the same thing too, that is way too many access points unless there is a good reason, perhaps some directional antennas to cut down on unwanted interference with other radio devices or maybe the rows are comprised of 20+ seats or something. How about putting the access points below the seats so that we can radiate our genetalia and use them as flotation devices?
USB gadgets are cool and everything, but I am waiting for the neural gadgets to warm my coffee, light silly lights, and the neural-powered George Foreman grill would be cool too.
The Fairness Doctrine applies to 'controversial' issues by applying equal time to opposing views. First, who defines what is controversial and what isn't? Is the hanging of Christmas decorations controversial? Will we need equal article space discussing several sides? What about really whacked out sides or ideas? Do they need presented too or do we need at least 5% of the population subscribing to the idea? What happens if Air America is sanctioned as non-controversial and does not need to balance their broadcasts and Rush Limbaugh is found to be controversial? Who is to say one is controversial and the other isn't? Second, who oversees this? What about their biases? What happens if the oversight committee is out of touch with reality? Do we accept really skewed programming? Does this amount to a form of government-sponsored censorship?
This is just too many problems that I don't feel the government is capable of handling.
Instead of engineering chickens to produce cancer-fighting eggs, which only solves one problem of cancer, why not genetically engineer chickens to lay rocks of crack? That way chickens are 1. providing an economic contribution to society, 2. crack dealers learn the valuable skills of animal husbandry, 3. society benefits from cheaper crack and 4. crack production is outsourced to rural areas producing more jobs.
Engrave it in nickel... http://www.norsam.com/hdrosetta.htm
more than 1% market share for all linux distros combined?

Is that going to be broken the British healthcare system, where I'll have to wait 2 years for an IP address? No thanks.
The Bull-Moose party had a pretty good showing of 27% of the vote, but then that was 1912. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_Party_(United_States,_1912)
...that'll teach them criminals for sure!

It was the Vista DRM... 'A large explosion is about to happen, Cancel, Allow?'

I guess you could say that the 2004 election wasn't 'stolen' after all.
and then ask Network Solutions to suspend their domain. It works on GoDaddy domains.

Let's post some usernames and passwords on MySpace and ask for their domain to be taken down. It only sounds fair.

Yep, Global Warming now ate 40% of NASA's budget. That's a bit of a stretch.
This sounds like iCrap. Oh wait, lemme go trademark that and iFraud too. $$$

What trademark? Cisco owns the iPhone trademark.
