You should look for a trackball...the Kensington Expert Mouse is a GREAT mouse for gaming, covering everything from RTS to FPS. It doesn't have a ton of buttons, but it has enough. It's super comfortable, too.
But seriously though...I use Twitter primarily to follow people (game developers, musicians, etc), and many of these updates make that even easier to do. Overall, pretty happy with what's been done.
I find it odd that TFA focuses on the Nintendo DS...which is possibly the most left-handed friendly system out there, aside from the Nintendo Wii. Most DS games that require one hand on the stylus and one hand on the system either duplicate the controls on both sides, or allow you to swap controls from one side to the other.
You would think more focus would have been on shaped gaming mice, which are almost exclusively made for righties.
How do you figure? It's something that directly impacts the ability of ISPs to provide customers with the same quality of service for the same cost...while NOT enacting the Act wouldn't affect the ISPs in any way.
This is purely being done in the copyright holders' interest, with zero positive effect for the public or ISPs. Why should one company have to either increase the cost to their customers or reduce their own bottom line because another company had the means to buy a law?
I'm really hoping that IE9 brings Internet Explorer up to speed and injects some more competition into the browser wars. Still, due to the stigma put on IE, gaining back market share will be tough...
...it takes a few minutes of research to find out what hardware features and which Android version a phone uses. That's all.
If you have enough knowledge to want a specific Android distro, you certainly have eough knowledge to do a little research before spending hundreds of dollars.
I love the fact that there is such a wide variety of Android phones. Different features are important to different people, and being able to choose between different phones gives them the opportunity to buy one that caters towards whatever the find most important (good screen, good keypad, good camera, etc.)
At this point, most devices have been updated to at least officially support Vista (and, by proxy, 7)...how old is your Cannon stuff?
I wouldn't use your experience as a condemnation of Windows 7 so much as a reason why, in your case, ubuntu is a better choice. Still, how old is your Cannon hardware?
I have Windows 7 on our gaming boxes just to keep things simple...but I run Ubuntu on our laptops, for size and speed considerations. We also run Ubuntu on our HTPC.
They have their purposes...I couldn't imagine exclusively using only one or the other.
You never know who is watching or listening in. People don't realize that every single thing they do online can, at some point along the pipe, be potentially seen by someone.
As an American citizen here is the following list of countries I'd rather live in than here first (in order of preference):
There are other countries I would rather live in as well, but I was referring more to war-torn parts of the world (which far outnumber the "peaceful" parts.)
I'll just leave this here.
Good points, all!
Especially when it comes to Android phones.

I'll tweak your twit!

It is worth noting that, in my original post, the examples I used for things that people find important were all exclusively hardware related.

They instead should have figured it based on how likely the Act would have come into law had the copyright holders not lobbied.
If the answer is "not likely at all", then the copyright holders should foot the bill.

"We know that this is a joke, but we're going to approach it as if it's a serious thing."
Your tax dollars at work, people.
All that said, I personally prefer android, but that's probably because of customization and choice, which is exactly what you stated :).
Absolutely! I can't stand leaving gadgets stock, I always HAVE to do SOMETHING to them. Android is the perfect platform for just such a thing :-)
Spending $200 on a phone just to hear "everything on your phone sucks- download these dozen programs to patch it up"... sucks.
How is that any different than having to jailbreak an iPhone?
::facepalm::
Embarrassment, thy name is Pojut.

If you go to the HP site, Windows 7 drivers are available, both for 32 and 64 bit...that link I put up is to the 32-bit version.

Google does remember the debacle earlier this year...right?
OK, show of hands: given what happened with Buzz, who here would feel comfortable with Google Me?

It also includes things like content restriction settings and parental controls built into every gaming console.
You know...the restrictions and controls that parent groups bitched about wanting to include in gaming consoles.
Agreed. The only people who should be able to ban violent video games for minors are parents.

Depends. I believe people have been arrested for being drunk in a parked car on private property.
Only if the key is in the ignition.
