    The water coming out of those galvanized iron pipes that are still around isn't all that high quality either, for whatever its worth.

    I lived in a few different states growing up. In one place, the tap water was blue. In another, it was green. You couldn't see the color easily until you say, filled a whole white bathtub with the stuff, but there was a perceivable color difference. I can't imagine that both would be considered really high quality if objectively tested. I worry that both might have been objectively low quality.

    The very idea of copyrighting software is not internally logically consistent. Free software advocates, pirates, and other computer enthusiasts have been saying this for decades now. Probably this is the cause of Hurst's apparent panic and confusion. He/she/other however clearly does not grasp the fundamental conceptual difference between a API and an implementation. Lawyers and Judges still calling shots about stuff they don't understand. Nothing new to see here.

    Really what it comes down to is there's a certain percentage of the population always actively looking for any excuse to say something upsetting because they derive entertainment from the reactions, or perceived reactions at least. Once you add a veil of anonymity you find that there's nothing left tethering such behavior to factual statements where it comes to things that you can't prove without knowing the identity of the poster. How this could be a big surprise to anyone though really harms my faith in society as a whole.

    What if you write really shitty code but you're really confident and sure of yourself while you do it? Certainly this type of system would be largely easily fooled by the same mechanisms many inexperienced coders use to fool themselves and their employers?

    Seriously, if the bar is that low, then it doesn't matter what you choose. Node.js is just as suitable for making garbage websites that wow and fool and bankrupt naive clients as WordPress or any other boilerplate crap written by the type of coders who share your "money first, rapid development time second, competence never" approach to software development.

    Can't tell if this is supposed to be a overly vague failed attempt at sarcasm, or if you weren't actually aware that Twilight Princess was supposed to come out on the GameCube.

    Does anyone know if Nintendo finally lets you move Nintendo accounts to new consoles so you can keep your existing game library if you have to buy a new one?

    This has always been a service they provided, however due to the DRM implementation on the Wii, you have to ship them your old one to get the purchased games moved to a replacement.

    After all these years you finally woke up and realized Skype sucks. I hope you had a nice nap. There are some other rude awakenings in store for you too. Believe it or not, Skype isn't the only Microsoft flagship product that is poorly supported and riddled with instability and security problems.

    1) the pi has NO NAND flash
    2) the much faster DDR will be useless as a performance booster for trying to download or save anything larger than about 500MB to the SDHC card, the fastest of which still crap out well below 10megabits sustained write speeds.
    3) despite being USB 2.0 compatible (except for spec power) the bus connection to the USB port isn't any faster than about a USB 1.0 connection, which incidentally is also about the same sub-10mbps speed as your typical SD/SDHC or USB flash cards

    summary: don't take my word for it. try it yourself.
