I have a D-Link DNS-320 NAS with similar issues. It doesn't index properly and only shows a fraction of the videos you have stored. I believe Logitech has admitted there is a problem working with NAS, they blame Google for course.
If they can provide some content like Netflix, Hulu, etc. than it might be worth looking into. I wonder if it's a full blown linux OS or some cut down version with limited capabilities?
I don't get Hulu Plus on my Logitech Revue with GTV 2.0, and even if I can access it through the Chrome Browser, why would I? I'd much rather use my Roku, much simpler and easy to navigate.
I have a Logitech Revue with the new Google TV 2.0 and I still don't have access to many of the Streaming Channels I have on my Roku (like Hulu plus). The DLNA Media Player doesn't work, menu navigation is cumbersome, and the search feature doesn't work with Netflix.
It just doesn't seem polished for TV. It's like using my Android Phone on my TV and having to navigate with a touchpad keyboard, not something my kids or wife could easily use. I think Google missed the boat with this one!
Not when the needs of the many are numbered in the Billions , like 7 Billion and counting. Too many people causing too many problems. Some people need to stop having so many kids, like people in poor countries whos kids die before the age of 2.
It's bad enough having to remember all my login names, but when sites don't like your password because it doesn't have Caps, or long enough, or a number in it. Forcing me to come up with a half dozen passswords to remember.
iOS may have more polished apps, but it lacks a lot of good apps only available for Android. I haven't seen any good Emulators available for iOS, I have PSXE, SNES, NES, Amiga, and many more. But that's what you get with an OpenSource platform.
It's not much different than Windows on the PC. You have an unlimited number of hardware combinations that can be setup on a PC, and many different Versions of Windows, plus all the updates, service packs, and patches. Windows is the most fragmented OS out their yet it’s still the most widely used. I think if Android can find the right formula to make all the different hardware behave, then there shouldn't be a problem.
It's not a bad idea, but they can't provide apps like Netflix and Hulu which most people want, I don't see it succeeding. Only a few hardcore geeks will buy it. Besides, why can Ubuntu offer that's not already available on Android or iOS?
Buy an XBOX 360 with Kinect. That should provide your TV with all the smart capabilities you would want. No need to spend double just for a smart TV. I paid $599 for a Samsung 51" Plasma 3D TV from BestBuy, about 1/4 the cost of my Dad's 55" Smart 3D LCD TV.
The Kinect still requiers a good amount of lighting to see me waving on the couch, and with my 2 year old running around making noise, it's difficult for the TV to pickup my voice. The Kinect was designed for the perfect livingroom with couples who have no little kids to deal with.
Most of the plugin channels for Plex on the Revue don't work.

And all those phones will go on Ebay marked up 1000%

Driving through the football game was a blast!
Which is all pointless because you know the TSA won't touch someone wearing a Burqa, or a Turban!
This reminds me of those Racing Video Games with all those HUDs on the screen. I wonder if there will be a score board too?

If the TSA had morals, they would donate that money to charity!
All that groaping pays off!
Don't worry, there comming after you next.
If you're 2 year old doesn't run around making noise, jumping, and crying now and then. I would say YOU have a parenting problem.
Maybe now we can read all that data stored in those Crystal Skulls.

Maybe Aliens are in control of HAARP!

Maybe this also account for the 20 feet of snow Alaska is getting too.
