  1. I once had one of those guys pull a gun on me. on Man Arrested For Taking Photo of Open ATM · · Score: 4, Interesting

I was in the supermarket and the ATM was right next to the produce section. I had a cart, a bag in my hands and was getting ready to pick out some plums which were right next to me when the Brinks rent-a-cop decided he was Dirty Harry and told me to back away. I sent them an angry letter and got no response.

I'm sure some people have had to google Stephen King too. Ursula LeGuin is a top-selling author who has won numerous awards and accolades and is considered by many to be one of the great authors of 20th century science fiction. The Left Hand of Darkness is often put up as one of the novels which transcended the sci-fi genre and made it appeal to more mainstream readers. That you have not heard of someone so important is your fault.

Ease of portability with a keyboard that can conceivably reach standard keyboard typing speeds is a big draw along with low power consumption to people who do a lot of writing. In the pre-netbook days, I used to have a Vadem Clio tablet which, despite its inadequacies (the biggest being the RS-232 port for transfer in a USB age), was terrific for taking places to write. The battery lasted for hours, it weighed next to nothing and it wasn't all that expensive compared to a full-sized notebook so I wasn't as worried about banging it around or getting it stolen. I added a wi-fi card to it and it enabled me to be extremely productive.
