In Australia they tried doing that for theft the idea was that if One family member is a crook they all are. The idea didn't get much support Could not even find someone stupid enuth to take it to parliament.
Why not use a program like http://www.truecrypt.org/ to hide your data if your going to download illegally.
Secondly what ever happened to privacy? Surly thats more important than a few stupid songs is worth.
When ISPs start doing this, and it actually becomes a problem, I'll (probably) support some form of Net Neutrality. Until then, I see no reason for government regulation.
Its only a matter of time until your ISP wants to charge youtube in order for you to receive faster content from them or they want to charge you more for running a premium service e.g bit-torrent that uses more bandwidth than normal web browsing.
If there is ANY chance that you could be guilty, you don't stand a chance no matter how innocent you are. What ever happened to innocent until proven Guilty.
The RIAA should have to prove beyond doubt that you committed the offense before they are even allowed to contact you.
The RIAA are nothing more than criminals they are not only sending letters to the guilty but also to the innocent who settle because they cant afford to prove their innocent. That is Fraud
Why do you have a problem with people communicating in a cinema?

This happened In Western Australia.

The government didn't like the way we voted so they introduced daylight saving anyway.

The advantage of this is that if my email goes down (its hosted at one of my domains) I can still verify myself as the owner by phone call or snailmail.
YOuTube seves us all as a global community.
Viacom and other companies like them are standing in the way of whats good the the entire Internet this case is to protect one partys intrests at the expense of the entire world (That has net access) for now its confined to youtube but how long in the future will it be until they are attacking all Websites that allow usergenerated content?
"Oooh, big man with a keyboard.
I think that's the original A.C.'s point. You'd never have the balls to say that to someone's face, or even over a radio."
Well if he/she cant sayit to someone on/. without hiding what chance do they have in person?
IT was suggested here in Australia that parents should be fined evertime their kids got busted by the cops but people said it was unfair to punish the parents.
Someone explain to me how it is not fair to punish the parents but is ok to punish a third party?
Its theft plain and simple its your job to verify if your actions are legal or not.

Prehaps I could sue the goverment if the law ISNT the way I want it.
I too am sick of lowlifes trying to blame the carrier for the crime.
If anyone other than the predator is to blame its the parents.
Who's to say that those site are illegal?
allofmp3.com is a legal and legit bussiness
but I bet the RIAA would throw the same accusation at google if allofmp3 used their adsense program
wow google bows to censorship!
I DEMAND they blur my house.
Its time parents start taking resposibility.
How about a bill that punishes the parents?
