Anonymous can't even take my $14 a month (hosting costs) website offline, and they have tried along with some SQL injection attempts. Also an epic fail.
Anonymous are no threat to anyone. Except corporations with a half assed approach to security.
Because nobody cares about child pornography. What they do care about however is silencing any dissent that challenges the viewpoints of the current regime..
That fact that they are talking about TLDs as if they where networks just shows they know nothing about the internet. These so called "experts" have obviously read about Lulzsec and Anonymous and are now trying to apply their lack of understanding to the internet. They probabbly thing The Internet and The Web are the same thing.
Spot on, but the problem is that it's technically possible for them to do this. So they do it.
This type of seizure is totally unprecedented. Criminals do not have their identity stolen even when found guilty in court. They still retain the rights to it. However with a domain name they seem to make an exception.
In the UK remote is beyond crawling distance to the nearest pub.

This isn't a problem of technology, this is the equivalent to trying to put out a fire at an oil refinery by adding more gas.
What if the Gas is CO2?
Go and spend some time in anonops IRC. Then you'll know how foolish it is to suggest that there is no leadership in place.
Anonymous isn't leaderless, I wish people would stop pushing this myth.
Facebook was worthless at the time. Kids don't have the greatest filing habits.
Perhaps The Pirate Bay has it for less.

Seriously, wtf is a CD?
The only CDs in existence today are system recovery CDs. Can you still buy music on CD?
Surprisingly few I would think. Anonymous actively discourage using Tor for LOIC because it means they also DoS the Tor network.
The general consensus in their IRC is that "no one gets caught for this". They are now getting their wake up call.
A DDoS attack is also a violation of a persons right to free speech.
Also with a sit in protesters people are accountable.
Not a bunch of cowards hiding behind their keyboards while they attack another entity.
Would that be Lulzsec and Anonymous they are referring to?
Government Accountability Office?
Isn't that Wikileaks?
Not all of us are contempt with working at the local McDonalds and need to travel further than the local shops.
In other words a lower standard of living. If it was upto the environmentalists we would all be living in mud huts.
That really is a tempting idea.
I've been using Jungle Disk for a while now. Encryption is done on the client side, which was a big selling point for me.
We all got to where we are today through evolution by natural selection. Making things safe for people interferes with this.
Go for a walk up and down the stairs. Six flights! 14 stairs on each flight except between the 2nd and 3rd floor, where one flight had 13.
The fact that you know how many stairs there are just shows how boring the job must have been.
Interpol ARE the bad guys.
This is a case of the good guys trying to get around the bad guys censorship.

Lot's of companies use their own VPNs. This is a stupid proposal to a problem that's already solved.
I remember using that back in 1998. That's when I first got ICQ, it was revolutionary at the time.
