I have already paid my ISP for the bandwidth from slashdot.org, just as slashdot have paid their service bill for the bandwidth they consume.
ISPs want to be paid twice for the same service, and media monopolies want an unfair advantage over their competitor. This goes against the founding spirit of the internet, big media want their monopoly back.
Unfortunately some people have nothing better to do with their lives than invent things to be offended by. Why is "Swearing" even an issue? It would not exist at all without idiots wanting to be offended by it.
Also they 160char limit is long gone. On the back-end any SMS longer than 160chars is broken down into multiple messages to travel across the network. But this is transparent to the user.
Email is still superior but I don't think it will replace SMS any time soon because email on a phone can quickly become an inconvenience. I avoid using email on my phone because I would be constantly interrupted, with SMS/Voice calls people know not to call at 1am. With email people don't hold back because it's not expected to be treated the same way as voice and text. SMS, Email and Voice all have their own place in the arsenal of communication tools.
In Australia you're only supposed to use the right lanes (we drive on the left) of the freeway for overtaking. But I always stay in the left lanes because they are the fastest.
This is the opposite of how your supposed to legally drive but people have an obsession with getting into the right lane, being oblivious to everything around them and then exit across all 4 lanes of traffic because they are to comatose to read the exit signs.
When driving in the United Kingdom I was surprised to see that other people actually know how to drive. Then to come home was a shock. I don't know what the US is like; hopefully better than Australia.
Freedom: Everyone gets to go at the speed they're comfortable with.
That's a bad thing. Too many idiots holding the rest of us up. There should be laws that require slow vehicles to pull over and let the rest of us pass.
Other than their recently uncovered fetish for porn the intention of customs is good.
The idea of customs looking for data in the 21st century is laughable, have they not heard of the internet? That's where I import my data from.
Data has nothing to do with customs. They are overstepping their jurisdiction just to bully people.
Government hired thugs are all the same.
Dead people don't commit crimes. The death penalty has allot going for it.
If you're on the train that's even more of a reason not to use a phone. Nobody else want's to hear your conversation.
It's fraud on the part of the ISP.

Don't forget the risk of human contact.
Plus it requires us to leave the basement.
Your friends can also harass you no matter where you are or what device you're using.
I want to know why pilots have to go through security checks. Somewhat pointless if you think about it.
Fuck DRM just download instead.
Really, I would just take the damn robot with me. Those things are worth money.
Australia is way ahead of the US in this department.
Games designed for 18 years and up are outlawed.
The publisher will make record sales. Good incentive to keep publishing.
How is this Censorship?
They are selling a product.
Geeks aren't usually the ones going into war zones.
There's the intelligence at least.
Unfortunately some people have nothing better to do with their lives than invent things to be offended by. Why is "Swearing" even an issue? It would not exist at all without idiots wanting to be offended by it.
Yes to both of those things.
journalistic integrity...
You just made that up.

Because that's what American's do. Well, the government at least.
Does this mean we are going to get iWaste as-well?
I agree, I am sick of these e-morons attaching the letter e to anything electronic. Next we will have e-torches, e-doorbells, e-lights and e-bananas.
