    I have always been a big supporter of Natural Selection. Protecting people from their own stupidity is damaging the human gene pool.

    Forget global warming and nuclear holocaust, it is stupidity via abolishment of Natural Selection that will end our species.

    Communities where persons have been completely dependent on cars from childhood to old age have existed for much longer than the obesity epidemic. Cars do not seem to be a major stimulus (though they certainly do contribute).

    Cars are for covering distance, scooters are a replacement for walking whereas a car is a replacement for horse drawn wagons.

    That's how checkouts work these days, every transaction has to pass though the till.

    Scamming should be legalised, that way it would eliminate it's self. If stupid people are poor people the scammers have not victims and may do something more constructive with their time. Scammers are more intelligent than their victims (obviously) so it is a waste to have them scamming when they might otherwise benefit society.

    For example, lower desktop market share makes it less attractive (and, yes, that is a security advantage); a straightforward access control system makes it easier to harden; text-based config files make it easier to audit; etc.

    "people can't be bothered targeting us" isn't the best security policy.

    I think most people, even a lot of P2P users, would be OK with traffic prioritization if it was implemented properly - eg, if it was implemented so it saturated your allocated pipe most of the time, but differentiated your VoIP packets from your P2P ones and made sure your VoIP line worked even when you were running P2P. I, for one, would welcome that sort of prioritization.

    You are free to do that on your own connection, the whole point of network neutrality is that the user decides how their connection is utilised.

    I drive around the city every day and it's amasing how desperate people are to get the the coffee shop, they will risk life and limb to get there 20seconds faster.

    Pedestrians cant even hear the sound of a diesel engine, what makes Nissan think they are going hear an electric. Then you have the cry babies who complain about traffic noise after choosing to live on a major highway.

    until PGP is built into outlook and other clients by default, it will not see widespread use. If I encrypt an email no one will be able to read it, so encryption defeats the purpose of email in the first place.
