I think I can safely say that educating users is a lost cause. Some people just CAN'T be educated.

Does this even need to be discussed? Are we really that retarded with our understanding of economics? Do we not understand the very simple concept of supply and demand?
Communities where persons have been completely dependent on cars from childhood to old age have existed for much longer than the obesity epidemic. Cars do not seem to be a major stimulus (though they certainly do contribute).
Cars are for covering distance, scooters are a replacement for walking whereas a car is a replacement for horse drawn wagons.
Scamming should be legalised, that way it would eliminate it's self. If stupid people are poor people the scammers have not victims and may do something more constructive with their time. Scammers are more intelligent than their victims (obviously) so it is a waste to have them scamming when they might otherwise benefit society.
For example, lower desktop market share makes it less attractive (and, yes, that is a security advantage); a straightforward access control system makes it easier to harden; text-based config files make it easier to audit; etc.
"people can't be bothered targeting us" isn't the best security policy.
I think most people, even a lot of P2P users, would be OK with traffic prioritization if it was implemented properly - eg, if it was implemented so it saturated your allocated pipe most of the time, but differentiated your VoIP packets from your P2P ones and made sure your VoIP line worked even when you were running P2P. I, for one, would welcome that sort of prioritization.
You are free to do that on your own connection, the whole point of network neutrality is that the user decides how their connection is utilised.
I drive around the city every day and it's amasing how desperate people are to get the the coffee shop, they will risk life and limb to get there 20seconds faster.
Pedestrians cant even hear the sound of a diesel engine, what makes Nissan think they are going hear an electric. Then you have the cry babies who complain about traffic noise after choosing to live on a major highway.
until PGP is built into outlook and other clients by default, it will not see widespread use. If I encrypt an email no one will be able to read it, so encryption defeats the purpose of email in the first place.
What happens if the image was corrupted?
That's a days work gone.

Try explaining that to the RIAA.
The pirates aren't buying the games for $60
I have always been a big supporter of Natural Selection. Protecting people from their own stupidity is damaging the human gene pool.
Forget global warming and nuclear holocaust, it is stupidity via abolishment of Natural Selection that will end our species.
The hot water bottle is a joke. The problem is the knee-jerk assholes higher up who don't seem to live in the same world as the rest of us.

then used her register to calculate my change on a 20c box of matches (I had given her a 50c piece).
That's how checkouts work these days, every transaction has to pass though the till.
It makes no difference how they did it. That's like saying they used sledge hammer instead of an axe to break in.
They still violated their users privacy and took an incredibly long time to fix it.
Stupidity would be my guess.
The people who make these decisions, know nothing of the real world because they don't live in it.
how about the problem that allowed gmail users to see each others inboxes? Will that also happen with docs?
Copying Music doesn't hurt anyone. Don't download ringtones and your virus problems will be solved.
Well they are profiting from crime.
As long as there are suckers there will be people trying to scam them.
Hence, make scamming legal and the problem fixes it's self.

Not to mention teenagers know more about tracking than their parents. I'm sure sticking the watch to a strangers car would be a great laugh to them.
"While the glitch itself was minor and was fixed in a few days"
That's not exactly what I would call a MINOR breach.
I meant to say blue
You need The Citizens Infringement Officer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebj85Q4vS7Y

So you would be like every other pedestrian.
