Yes, but the paper dictionary will work when the phone's battery runs out. Especially when you find out you can't charge your phone without an adapter.
I didn't actually realize it was a dictionary - people actually pay more than a buck or two for an app? Considering a dictionary is available online, $50 for a dictionary app seems to be kind of silly.
vSphere/ESXi is not the type of hypervisor he is seeking. It takes complete control over the hardware and it is picky on hardware, for an example it will not work with Realtek network cards. There is a HCL that you can refer to to get best results. I have built a whitebox ESXi hypervisor by replacing the network card on a desktop machine, and using a standard sata controller.
For what he's looking for, vmware-server or vmware-workstation is recommended as both run on top of an existing OS. I remember vmware-server being free, I'm not sure about vmware-workstation.
It's also a hell of a lot cheaper than an iPhone or Galaxy model...
I'm interested in the Nexus 4 as well - it's reasonable hardware for around half the price of competitors. Considering I still have about 8GB free on my Galaxy S1, not having a SD card is a non-issue for my personally, and I'm likely not the only one that falls into that category.
The Galaxy S2 is also still for sale. They were comparing the current (at the time of the data set) flagship phone from Samsung against the current (and only model) from Apple.
They'd have to count the S2 sales as well in order to make a fair comparison. S2 phones dropped quite a bit in price, so they've likely moved a bunch of those too.
One was a package of meat - they'd found metal shavings in it and were suspecting a machine problem, so they were recalling all meat bought within a 3 day window of the pack date, I can't remember exactly what the other was, but I do remember it involved a safety mechanism failing (the device would not turn off.) I think it was a tool, but I can't remember what...
In the case of Costco, buying with the membership card has other benefits. Twice I received a call from them because something was being recalled. I would not have known if I had bought those items elsewhere...
Yep, charities and nonprofits generally don't spend money on computer hardware. You'd help them out a lot. Or pick several nonprofits/charities, spread it around.
Over the next umpteen years there's a good chance that I will not be the only one administering these servers. While I can use (and like) Powershell, the next person to come along may not care to use it and use the GUI, depending on what they're using.
I'm not forcing my own tastes down the organization's throat. I'm keeping in mind the long term usability for others administering the server, not just my personal preferences.
No, you can't. I tried this and got "No apps match your search."
So you click on results in settings. Not one result that actually matches "Windows Update". There is one that says "Install optional updates" but when you want security updates, what do you do?
The only way I found it after a lot of farting around was to go to the lower-right corner of the screen, click Settings, click Control Panel, change View by: to icons, and only then is Windows Update shown.
How intuitive is that?!
This is what happens when you take 3 UI paradigms and throw them into a blender. It's a freaking unusable mess.
But BB10 is going to change everything!
I would if they'd actually support my router.
It's not new, it's been around for a while. ddwrt is the only version I found when I bought it years ago that would actually work on it.
I wonder what would happen if they couldn't use any modern conveniences anymore? Most people would implode.

There's benefits to a paper copy.

Generally if I have an app asking for Twitter/Facebook credentials and it appears completely unrelated to the app I just remove it and move on.
And they should trigger the event with a cell phone from the 80s like Hollywood does.

Corporate IT would most likely have a firewall that blocks ad servers in place already.
Nobody's forcing you to read the summary, or go into the article to read comments/post...

Instead of getting them under control, just throw everything out the window. Out of sight, out of mind!
That wouldn't make a difference if they're losing money, if anything, it'll speed up their demise.
You mean you'd actually try to get people out of their mom's basements? I don't think that's going to work...
So the tax man knows where to get his TV license fee from? It's not optional there.

This earthquake was the largest ever recorded in the region, so yes, it is.
Nope, us Canadians have nothing better to do on a Saturday other than post articles to Slashdot. Y'know, we have bitter cold and snowy winters, eh?
There'll be an App for that.
They'd have to review the patch first, I doubt they'll push any patch out without testing it. At least you'd hope so...
