    But that doesn't solve the problem either since then the rotated monitor would be really bad to watch movies or to get a glimpse on really long lines of code!

    Best solution is, as expected, the mean between the two solutions: rotate 45 degrees!!
    In this way you'll train your brain to handle (quick-kick)-flipped things and in the future you'll end up smarter!

    Side effects may include: stiff necks, going nuts, narcissism.

    Oh yes! From the (real) summary, anyone can get that Linux "scales" beyond 48 cores but starts losing on performance due to the "counters" overhead. Working is different than "works great" or "pays off". Theoretically (as "works" go), Linux can work with way more than 48.

    Now windows...

    Did you forget "static void put_your_hands_up_hooker(int argc, char *argv[])"??? That's actually IN the "diagnose" code. Well, if you check both the exploit and the diagnose, they are quite the same and obviously the diagnose code inherited most of the code from it.
    Now, the question is: do you trust ksplice or even (as cited below) the naive http download?

    While spending sunday afternoon with beers and old movies, someone knocked on my door and said it was the census and all. Since they had "booked" the visit earlier I knew it was them. (Yes, I'm in Brazil)
    As soon as I opened the door I noticed the blue & very rugged "smartphone" (I would rather call a PDA) and the lady was really quick on making all the questions and even collecting my signature. (While singing into the touchscreen I could see that the thingy is pretty well designed and simple.

    I believe it took me less than 5 minutes to answer everything (even though it took me some 2 to remember which year my mother was born!), in a nutshell: I believe this "digital" census can really be a good thing!

    I think the writer got scared about being sitting for so long and decided to write in a fucking hurry(to get out walking and standing asap)! Isn't the "Preview->Read-What-You-Have-Written->???->Profit" policy enforced for this guys?!
    Or was he so emphatic on the "risk" itself that he decided to use that word way more then necessary!?

    There is some guy saying developers should not have access to production servers..
    It seems Google doesn't give a damn to that!!

    As for orkut, I've seen bugs being fixed directly by the developer on the production server also. (Upon personal contact :) )

    I had the same kind of learning back in my days using PIC microcontrollers where I needed to do VERY LOW LEVEL programming and I saw "instructions happening for real", flipping a led's state or the like.
    I value that experience a lot!

    Well, then we should simply change our definition for life into something like:
    "Plants or animals", "Something that displays emotions"
    or even, given humanity's current values:
    "Believes in God"

    This would be very useful, even for solving problems regarding AI.

    (I foresee /.ers being used for cosmetics experiments in the future..)
