-Local Storage: Not the best idea, the point of a web based application is your data is on a centralized location. Your local PC doesn't qualify, small amounts is handy for performance, but if you are going past 5MB then you are probably doing it wrong.
-3D graphics: Ill give you this one, but it would be rather limited to games, and some smaller subset of applications, not a full deal breaker.
- Tilt and Shake: Ill give you that one too. The time HTML5 was made these ideas were to new to be realized as useful, just a silly hack to make your PC do tricks.
- Device Location (HTML5 has that) and orientation: Ill give you that one too, but orientation seems related to Tilt and Shake.
- Audio recording: good in theory, scary in use. Having a web browser listing to your audio could cause ease dropping software.
- Camera: Same as Audio Recoding
- Text to speech: I would think this would be a function of the OS/Browser
What do you mean, this was the point of ActiveX. ActiveX didn't cause any security concerns. It isn't like when someone is asked to accept to install something, they will just hit Yes, to get it out of the way.
The Web isn't a good way to do high performance computing. The good news is, most people don't need high performance.
For most of them they probably got a shot of benadryl or some steroid to stop the allergic reaction. That is why this needs to be done under a doctors supervision.
However I could see a lot of parents trying this, to a disastrous effect, because it could be the kid who has extremely small tolerance, will get too much and hurt themselves. or increasing the dosage goes too fast for the child.
The real benefit of giving these kids treatments, isn't so they can have a peanut butter sandwich, but have foods that have touched nuts, and go to school and sit at the same table as someone eating a Peanut butter sandwich.
However the Point of Firefox which it gained popularity was that it was a small/light browser that ran quick. Over time it has became a big heavy browser, with many many features. Hence people switch to chrome which is the small and light browser.
40% seems about right from my experience. Software Developers and people making web pages are probably using Chrome, and Firefox, thus hitting W3School with it for their work. Average home surfer still doesn't really care what browser they are using just as long as it works. Newer IE 9,10,11 seem to render the modern stuff good enough, for people not to really care. However people with above average use, will probably be using Chrome or Firefox, just because it works better.
One sides Traitor is the other sides Hero. There are a lot of countries who like to see the mighty US squirm and face problems, while their leaders use it as an opportunity to try to boast themselves up and say "Well at least we are not as bad as America!" Even if what they are personally doing is just as bad or worse, however it just wasn't publicized.
There are a handful of what the US calls Rouge nations, previously Axes of Evil. That do a lot of big talk against the United States, the real thing is, most of these nations do this to make them look big and powerful, and really don't Hate the US, they just use us as the biggest target to point out, so their neighboring nations who may think about attacking them will go, wait a minute, these guys are standing up the US, and they are taking them seriously. Perhaps we should too. Where the real danger from these Rouge nations, isn't the actual government, but from the populous who feeds off the propaganda and gets radicalized against the US. Europe, China, Russia and Brazil while are not rogue nations, are in a position where they can try to increase their dominance in the global field are having a field day with this.
I think the big downfall in this Snowden stuff, was they dropped the ball, they just changed what they are doing in the NSA for intelligence gathering. They are not doing enough to allow a legal outlet for whistle blowing from secrete organizations.
Ok granted Atlanta dropped the ball. But the drivers are being complete idiots. Probably due to poor basic science education. Yes the road are unsalted. and most of the cars have summer tires... However to be dead stopped for days is just retarded. Boadcast these instructions over the radio.
1. Keep Calm, don't panic. 2. Accelerate Slowly 3. Decelerate Slowly 4. Drive Slowly 5. Double or Triple your distance that you normally are between you and the car in font of you, to allow more time to stop.
I am seeing on the news complete idiots just hitting the gas spinning their wheels and driving out of control. The it is a Gas Pedal not a Gas Button, you can use it to drive at various speeds.
But how does Snowden promote peace? I mean, he dug up some records of some illegal stuff the government was doing. Then he sent it to the general media so average Joe, will misinterpret the summary and think their government is doing far worse then they actually did. Combined getting a bunch of other countries pissed off at America, because there is evidence to show what they already know anyways. In terms of Peace, he seemed to stir up the drums or war.
You talking to the wrong crowd. They figure the final cost of the product should be the same as the cost per unit, without all those other expenses that add up too. There is a big market for custom designed stuff where you may only make a few of them. Or say in term prognostics, you will be making only one, that has the ideal fit.
Well it would depend, in theory an AI could learn kindness as a aspect of intelligence, calculating that if you are kind to the end user, you will get a better degree of output reward. Say the goal of the AI is to achieve most desirable output, and the end user provides feed back on how happy he is with the output. The AI could adjust its logic to find that being pleasant, or anticipating future requests, and looking them up before hand, would optimize it end point results.
In the human body hormones are only part of the equation. In terms of sex drive, they do have more of an influence, but other aspects are based on more intellectual processing which then feeds your body to give off hormones, which then reinforce their belief back to the brain. You know because you are behind schedule on your assignment, your boss will yell at you. Knowing this your brain tell your adrenalin system to start working, as you are expected to be in a battle. You body gets the message, however you don't fight or flight, so you in general feel bad afterwards, as you didn't use the chemicals. This bad feeling you got, reminded your brain that this isn't a good situation.
Beards were rather popular in Ancient culture. A sign of manhood and variability. It took Alexander the Great to change that trend, pointing out that a beard could be grabbed in battle, so he ordered his troops to shave them off. However, it is a good way to protect your face, while hiding in bushes, and keeps your face warmer in the winter. It makes sense to assume that Hunters (Males) would have beards.
The issue I am trying figure out about the new problems with getting fat. What is new that happened in the past 20 years? We had a lot of the same bad for us foods 20 years ago, and no food shortages either.
In a Adam and Eve type of story, yes. Wheat and Corn, allowed for civilizations to grow and prosper. One of the premises in Jared Diamond "Gun Germ and Steel", is that the ability for a civilization to really grow we needed grain, otherwise the culture will stay in more of a hunter gather type of living. Major Civilizations, Mayans, and Aztecs had Maize/Corn type of grains, Middle East and Europe had Wheat, East Asia had Rice. This is because they were a rather High protein food, that can be easily dried and stored, so average guy didn't need to spend most of his life gathering food, and had time, to think and create and improve.
So if you are living in a society you also get extra baggage, that often makes you think you want to long for the good old hunter gather days, forgetting about things such as illness, starvation, dehydration... So other then worry about if I will survive the next day, you worry about things like, how am I doing compared to the next guy, I am working too hard and I am not getting a fair pay from it.... While I am not trying to make these issues unimportant, they are an improvement over the problems that existed before. But they are some unnatural side effects such as self imposed stress, and a diet that may not be optimal...
Companies do this all the time. In some ways it is around to fix a broken system, where there is too many patents for silly things, that really shouldn't be patented. But also it is just an affordable way to partner with a company with a mutual befitting self interests. Samsung (A really large device manufacture) and Google (Maker of the OS which these devices run off of), have a common competitor of Apple. So now they have in essence increased their R&D without having to pay more for it.
He released more then just the phone metadata stuff, he did release stuff that has not yet been deemed illegal too. Also we need to show if their was an official/legal channels he could have blown the whistle, then the way he did it?
Was this really the last resort? or just the most cinematic way he could think of doing this, so he looks like the little guy doing big things, against the evil government.
Java script has the basic software engineering freatures... It doesn't have the advanced ones though.
IF While For Varables List Strings Functions and classes.... That is the basics.

That is why you drive slowly. Don't spin the wheels to melt the ice, you just get bast the static friction.

Low friction != No friction.

That would be true if the algorithm goal is to avoid negatives, vs trying to strive towards positives.

It does work, it is in general similar to the Atkins diet, or the Conspiracy Diet.

Being with plastic is being melted before it puts its layer down, why don't we mix the pigments in at the point that it is melted.
More then just Color.
I would like Color, with multiple materials. Say Plastic, with metal, glass and rubber.
Do we have a 3d printing standard format yet?
PostScript 3D!!!!
Well actually PostScript is still a proprietary format.
So I guess we need PCL 6-3D!!!
If you saying something is in 3 Dimensions you need the explanation marks.
Companies do this all the time.
