Don't you get it? When Hodgman fumbles around with yet another clumsy Windows "solution", the Apple guy isn't saying nanner-nanner-boo-boo. He tries to give advice and help, but Hodgman doesn't listen, because Hodgman is averse to change...the single most important reason people keep using Microsoft OSes (and the point of one of the newest ads in the cycle).
And in my opinion Apple has failed on an epic scale too, by not understanding their own ads.
If you don't at least admit that the ads are effective, regardless of your personal opinion about them, than you don't understand advertising. Unless, of course, you wish to opine that Apple sales are brisk IN SPITE of the long-running campaign?
Consumer rights attorneys DO bother me (frivolous, to say the least). For every one legit consumer advocate case, there are 500 bogus McDonalds hot coffees (not to be confused with GTA hot coffee). But the lawyer that argued Brown v BoE was my wife's great-uncle, so that's cool with me.
More of the same. I haven't played anything other than WoW, so maybe they are all the same, but this really isn't anything much different...different terminology for basically the same things. It's almost as if they wanted to be safe and keep it as close to WoW conventions as possible...
Dinging the iPhone for having poor blind usability is sort of like dinging Filet Mignon for not being vegetarian enough. For the 14 million Americans who are classified as visually impaired, here's some advice: don't buy an iPhone.
It's paranoia like this that keeps potential new readers away! You could have just stuck with something like, "I don't like how Apple controls distribution, so this phone is not for me!" and then thrown in a YMMV to show that you aren't a complete paranoid. And for the record, I don't think Apple should be afraid of "lack of innovation" given their rather stellar track record in this area.
This is from Blizzard, right? Have you SEEN the cartoon world called World of Warcraft lately? We just bought Warhammer online, and my children think the graphics suck, because they aren't cartoony enough (as they've been conditioned to expect from 2 years of WoW). Sad, really.
I was thinking the same thing. I rent a movie, I take it back to the drop box, then demand that I should be able to rent that title for free forever? Of course, I didn't RTFA, so I might be outtheasstalking.
Seriously...show me one governmental agency that does ANYTHING with technology well and I'll accept governmental agencies telling me what the rules are regarding said technology.
Business people never want to do something cool that makes a ton of money.
No. No they don't. I've even been told that polish and ease-of-use doesn't matter and actually just cut into the bottom line. They just want to make money and don't care if it's cool. And that, my friends, is the crux of this entire discussion.
Actually, living in Germany and the UK is where I attained my disdain for stinky, underpowered diesels. Maybe you guys can't smell it because you have no regular cars left for comparison???
I'll take Japanese reliability (in cars) over any Volkswagen, any day, any planet. And as stated, people buy cars for different reasons. I could care less about specs on heavy machinery, since I'm not driving a dump truck or a back hoe. I like precisions--something incongruent with the concept of diesel.
The difference between 1800 and 3000 is nil. The only benefit there is if you are towing something heavy, which is something a Volkswagen TDi is NOT doing.
Nope. The torque from the mazda engine comes in the lower RPMs, unlike most Japanese high-revvers. The powerband is actually computer limited in the lower rpms (to prevent wheelspin) and lower gears then it pours on from about 2,000 up to about 5,000 rpm.

Car Analogy : I got in my car and drove to work - which make of car was it : I don't know, and don't care, it got me here anyway....
So you are a PC then?
Your perception (smug douchey hipster) does not equal reality. If anything, it equals your self-proclaimed biases.

Why is Vista doing so bad?
Because the grammar-checker still doesn't understand your sentence needs an adverb instead of an adjective?
So the "democratic process" is boiled down to talking-points memos and bullets...no wonder people are sick of politics. I like your sig, though.
So what court has ruled the immunity as unconstitutional? Until that happens, it isn't.
Hate to break it to you, but Obama voted *for* telecom immunity.
I thought we were discussion his tech stance, not his civil liberties stance.

He's only half black, you insensitive clod!
Same reason people use cheat codes...

It's a bureaucratic form with no capability to uncheck the Asshat box...duh!
...Igpay Atinlay!

So why don't you take your self-inspired generalizations and go fuck yourself
Sounds like somebody's generalizations were a little too close for comfort...

Man, German engineering with Japanese dependability...that'll be the day!
