Nobody cares now either. If he honestly believes that women should be kept barefoot and pregnant that doesn't impact his ability to be part of the project as long as he can keep those opinions to himself and not let them impact the way he interacts with other people on the team, at least in so far as such interaction might violate a code of conduct that is basically just "Be excellent to each other."
If you can't be kind and reasonable with the members of a coding team then you have no place in modern software development. Modern software is not developed by one person sitting in a dark room anymore, it requires communication skills and healthy team dynamics to function.
If you don't like the code, comment on the PR, point out problems and weak points... but if you have to resort to anything that would violate those community standards in order to it then your points probably aren't that valid and perhaps you are not the great coder you believe yourself to be.
if its so meaningless there is no reason to roll it back. Leaving it in place will save companies money so why bother... unless maybe its going to be packaged with a way to drive down the cost of fossil fuel based energy in the form of increases subsidies.... But I doubt the administration would do that, right?
Its not being filtered at the "Tube" level though.... Comcast isn't saying you can't have gun videos on the internet. Its the site owners who have made that decisions. A decision they would still be free to make... but by all means don't let that get in the way of some good astro turfing.
Yeah, all these broadband companies are loosing money left and right. Comcast is practically begging on the street to keep its broadband service solvent.
Yeah, if only he could have gotten a massive tax reform bill through congress... if that happened there would be a clear opportunity to actually do something about amazon not paying any taxes.
Oh wait, that did happen... so either the new tax plan fixes this problem in which case what is trump bitching about, or it doesnt' do shit to fix this problem and he is just being a blowhard to distract from other shit.
On the iphone access to the mic comes along with access to the camera which plenty of people give to facebook. I'm not sure how it works on Android. They wouldn't have to be violating apple's permissions model in order to make this work.
What math and physics. All you did was state the current numbers for existing pumped hydro storage. You have not quoted any costs associated with pumped hydro on a per MW basis, you have not talked at all about any limiting factors that might impact the ability to increase the amount of pumped hydro storage for flywheel storage you simply state that you don't think it will be possible without giving any evidence at all.
All you have done is say "we haven't built a ton of power storage, therefor we will be unable to build more power storage" totally neglecting the fact that our entire history of power generation didn't require large scale power storage in most locations. The fact that we don't have this in place today doesn't prove that we will never have it in the future.
yeah, as long as these cars are in development they will occasionally fail and we need these safety drivers to be paying attention. thats a nearly impossible thing to do but a driver monitoring system would go a long way. eye tracking, hands on the wheel, that kind of thing. It seems like the only solution to allow for even remotely safe development of these self driving systems.
No, it really isn't that bad. I am a 40 something white male programmer and I know many other 40 something white male programmers and none of them are having trouble getting a job, none of them are getting passed up for hiring or promotion by women or minorities. I suspect the people who complain about it are either just really twisted around and unable to see that they are also not having trouble getting hired and promoted, or they just really aren't as competent as they think they are.
it doesn't matter if you update it. it will still be running the old version of iTunes and it will still have all of your downloaded media on it. it will continue to be able to play it.
The store, however, is an online feature and the new version of it is incompatible with the old version if iTunes. Since they will not be updating iTunes on these devices you wont be able to buy or download new material.
True but there is THC laden vape fluid, while not actually "hash oil" it does have pretty much the same effect and its pretty easy to get the terminology confused.
But race and gender aren't the issues here, the suit itself does not claim that white people or men or white men are being discriminated against... that would be nearly impossible since there are many many white men still working at google who have not been fired. It claims that expressing their views was the common threat that resulted in their termination.
While that might be protected depending on the views and the local employment laws they still have to prove that this was the reason they were let go and that the company didn't have a legitimate reason for their firing.
Exactly... I used to wonder why there were so many images of vending machines in Anime, they are everywhere... it is not unusual to see scenes entirely lit by vending machines even in residential (non big city) scenes there would be vending machines everywhere... is it some kind of symbolism? I don't have vending machines on my suburban street.
Then I went to japan and realized that vending machines were actually everywhere, even in small towns and residential neighborhoods.... its just part of every day life there.
Sure, but in 5 years those will be just like facebook is now and a 17 year old would gladly drop those for some other service. The point is there is competition... Sure, facebook has the huge network but if the kids (and it would, in this case, likely be strongly generational) decide to go somewhere else then that other place will prosper and facebook will suffer.
Of course if facebook, instagram and snapchat are provided with your normal internet service and some new social media sites are require some additional 10 bucks a month then maybe that next generation wont even have access to those new sites, or the access will be so slow as to render them less valuable.... well then nobody is going to move onto anything new.
Actually people dont use pins. If the only option you give people is a pin they will choose not to lock their device. We saw this. When apple added thumb print there was a huge jump in the number of devices that were locked and encrypted.
Sure, you can use a pin.. its more secure anyway (particularly if you go with a long one, or a pass phrase) but the fact is people wont use it. They will use thumb print and they might be more willing to use facial recognition because, if it works flawlessly, all you have to do is look at your phone and its ready to go which is about as low friction as it gets.
Having more people securing their devices is a good thing and this might help with that. In that respect it is worth it.
Yeah its ridiculous for someone to cross the street without looking. Thats why blind people aren't allowed to walk around in Honolulu.
Look, if you have the light it shouldn't matter if you are looking at your phone or the news paper or a book or the back the the head of the guy in front of you.

He also clearly doesn't remember the shit show that was the republican congress that Clinton had to deal with.

I believe the tale is that Page's idea to call the band "The New Yardbirds" was what would "go over like a lead zeplin."

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like Dark Matter was canceled:

The colony is fantastic though. I can't wait for that to come back.

Well then maybe they should let us run servers on our connections.

hourly employees might be expected to clock out for a smoke break but not salaried
Or you just use taxation on tobacco products to cover the cost difference, as less tobacco is consumed costs should go down as the tax money dwindles.
