    The cars may be legal, but the sale of them, the misrepresentation involved in the sale was a fraud. Consumers paid their money for cars of a certain performance grade, and to make the cars legal will significantly lower that grade. Expect a very costly class action from customers who didn't get what was promised.

    I'm glad someone said this. The real problem is the failure to apply traffic regulations to bicyclists. Our legislators should take care to make sure all traffic rules apply to bicyclists, to make sure the police enforce the rules against bicyclists, and to make sure the fines and penalties are the same for violators on bikes as for others. We'd have far fewer bicyclists going through stop signs if they had to pay a $400 fine when they're caught.

    I'm not so sure about that. One of the best meals I've ever had was blueberry glazed pork chops.

    Seriously, the ordering is just a convention. It can go either way as long as it does so consistently.

    That is usually true in a democracy. However, look at our current crop of Congressmen, Senators, and Administration officials, and the way money influences them. After Our current grand scheme of government is that "money talks" and everyone else walks.

    That's the way it used to be. Now everything is manufactured in China with Chinese parts. And while we in the US have been arguing with backwoods Muslims, China has stolen the world, with the acquiescence of our government. (When was the last time you heard of a major party candidate being believably anti-globalization?)

    There you go... Maybe we can defeat this new initiative by showing politicians that their own emails would be retained as well... As the parent implies, politicians hate transparency above all else. In Missouri, for example, Governor Blunt decided the open records act didn't apply to his office's email. Too bad for citizens trying to keep their eye on things.... One wonders what we'll find if those emails are ever able to be reconstructed. (Yeah, they were deleted too....) Now maybe if the ISP had been forced to retain them?
