You are aware that you actually have to PROVE it in court right? Its not jsut automatic 'oo you said something bad, pay up."
Also, its not 'illegal' to ask ANYTHING in an interview, it is illegal to use the answers to certain questions to deny employment. All those questions are is possible legal attack surfaces, nothing more.
Because the idea that you need to carry a concealed gun in modern society is anathema to most people . Why would I hire someone so insecure they need a license to carry a concealed firearm? What are you doing in your life to warrant such a burden? Im not saying guns dont have their place, im certainly not anti-gun, but not just anyone should be walking around with a loaded, concealed weapon in polite society.
Rsyncing doesnt solve getting the data out-of-line. You still have to have some way of getting the rsynced data off that PC to an out-of-line backup. You dont want all your copies of data to be inline with each other. You want to burn off a backup and remove it from the cycle to guard against file-deletion etc.
This is/thread right here. I just want my browser to be fast, efficient and mostly stay out of my way. IE8 infuriates me with all the bullshit they want you to setup before you can actually use the damn thing.
I disagree. i think that at some monetary threshold, works should enter the public domain completely. If someting becomes so culturally significant, the artist should no longer have sole control of it, for it is no longer just theirs, but society's as a whole. No art springs form the aether, no artist is wholly original.
Its evil to like money to that degree. She has more then enough to live on for several lifetimes. I will never in my life understand insatiable greed. Its ok to leave money on the table if your needs are met, truly
This. Assume anywhere your personal data is used that its being tracked by metrics. Even if they dont do anything with the data, its trivial to collect it, just in case.
The war is over. either accept or go without. constant on DRM is here to stay. Jsut look at the shit Sony pulled yesterday with removing PSP games from PSN because they could be used to sploit the PS Vita. This means that people that bought and own the game can't redownload it. Its jsut gone.
When you give a government a black eye, that is a crime in and of itself to those in charge. It is a foolish man who taunts a government like he did. When you piss off those in power to that degree, the law becomes quite irrelevant. Why couldnt he release anonymously? Why did he have to attach his name to it? O thats right because hes a self-aggrandizing asshole. They dont care if they break the law to get you, and will most likely get away with it.
Lets see what this comment looks like in 10 years shall we? Cheap, thin flexible displays will probably severely diminish paper for the most part. I always loved that scene in Hackers where someone hands Eugene 'The Plague" a folder and he remarks 'Eww, hardcopy'
Im sure they will pull an Xbox LIVE move and say " we need to cut off PS3s from PSN to make more room for PS4", like MS did for Xbox 1 LIVE support.
The Sony EULA would not shield them from losing an entire console generations worth of games.

Its astonishing that you think that the student/school relationship is at all analogous to employee/employer.
"Thanks a lot you shit-brained, fuck-faced, ball breaking, duck fucking pain in the ass"
I carefully avoided the use of an absolute like 'never', you drew that conclusion. You might have a better point if PS3 Linux had been restored.

Actually its power, data is just a means of transmitting that power.
You are a sheep. Go bleat somewhere else, and leave us free men to our civilized discourse.
I read a bit about this last night. So the PS3 actually broke non-studio HD in its entirety? Anything in the AC3 codec gets Cinavia fucked? Wow.
My dell 2407 being driven by a 570 GTX over 50 feet of HDMI says 'you're an idiot'.
Its appropriate for the time period his story is set in.
I always find the term 'supernatural' amusing.
Hold on, linking this over to HardOCP so we can all get a good laugh.

The PS2 says hello.
Begun, the Drone Wars have.
Which was exactly my point. I was going to engage you, but then I found it is pointless to argue with such an extreme position.
