    That $2000 is 95% labor, which can be easily reduced in a variety of ways. At hte consumer level you arent getting battery packs cheaper.

    Dont take this the wrong way but for vanilla wow, if you couldnt put in 30 hours of raiding, you WERE a shit player. Not through lack of trying or lack of skill but flat out the time requirements to raid were huge. Consumables and resistance gear farming took up massive amounts of time above and beyond the raid schedule. Sure there were elitists, but alot of that was from the game design itself being so time consuming. This is truly a case of 'dont hate the player, hate the game'.

    The average intellectual power of random MODERN DAY WoW players is shit. When the game launched with the original 350,000 the playerbase was incredibly fun and smart. Sure there were jackholes, but we had quite a few tools to keep them in line. Those tools are now gone.

    If cableCARD support dies, TiVO is toast. Time-Warner already sets every channel to 'never copy' so a Tivo is all but useless on their service. Tivo's fate is now tied to CableCARD and all indictors point to all the cable companies moving everything to 'copy once' or 'copy never' which to a Tivo means 'dont record'

    I am actually calling tivo today to cancel my service and pay the pro-rate for the rest of my first year of contract. I bought it and a HDHomeRun Prime at the same time and the HDHomerun with a Win 7 PC destroys the Tivo in ease of use, functionality, cost and uptime.

    Your post clearly precludes any iphone 4S information which has all the radios to be a 'world phone'. Verizon requires a 60 day cooling period before you can unlock the micro-sim in the 4S, but im sure you could get it rushed if needed. Other then that there is nothing stopping you from popping a micro-sim in it and start calling right away.

    P.S. ON 4G Sprint CANNOT refuse your device in the US, in theory at least.

    Have you not realized that Apple IS the standard? Im not trying ot be a dick, i have no special love for Apple, but the plain fact is they are the defacto standard. I dont see this as particularly evil. I would like to point out that Apple is pretty much the only one that HAS enhanced functionality through its connector. Everyone else jsut uses various flavors of USB connectors which is not in and of itself a full solution to match apples functionality. Its because of their connector that they can do more then your standard micro USB connection.

    Calling copyright stealing IMPLIES a right to profit where none exists. You are trying to force infringement to mean 'loss of profit', which it DOES NOT. You are trying to attach an inflammatory word somehwere it logically does not belong. For infringement to be theft, you would have to assume a right to profit.

    THis is not even close to logical. Legal terms have extremely specific meanings. Nowhere in copyright law is the word theft or stealing mentioned. Its not theft because no one has an innate right to profit. You are assuming that possession of the item should equal a sale. ANd I assure you, if the social bargain that is copyright was abolished, people would continue to create works.

    GPS spoofing only works if you arent aware of it or ignore it in your designs. There are a million ways to mitigate that. We wont be losing any future designs to that particular tactic anymore unless the mission envelope require compromises in design.
