If the officer acted in a an illegal manner and you feel your life threatened you are damn straight he gets plugged. Being right or wrong doesnt change being dead. What the person was trying ot get across is that the police should have reason to fear the populace when acting illegally. IN no way is it legal anywhere in the United States for an officer to erase another's data in the field. The citizens brandishing weapons merely reminded the officer of the proper balance of power between governance and the citizenry.

My computer is fully prepared to die, thats what backups are for. I dont worry about virii because I back up like a crazy person with no less then 3 full versions in 3 separate physical locations with versioning. I can be up and running in less then 10 minutes with a loss of no more then 8 hours of work. I would rather risk that then constantly approve/deny considering I have to backup no matter what.

You made my point for me: "how do you stop a 0 day? With backups thats how." IM not quite sure what to make of your "network infrastructure turd polisher" comment. Also, if re-deploying a drive clone is hard for you then I'm sorry that you suck. Hmm maybe you were too busy jerking off to your precious whitelist.

My main point is this, Noscript is more work then its worth FOR ME. I can mitigate its damage easier then the constant vigilance of running a list.

This, exactly. I would rather backup my machine properly and practice safe browsing habits then put up with NoScript's bullshit. Ive read for years people extolling its virtues, but i personally cannot stand the neutered web it presents. Keep your machine patched, keep backups and you wont have to put up with its nonsense.

I bought Batman:Arkham Asylum GOTY with all DLC for $5 from Steam. It has been at this price point at least 3 times. This version also includes free re-downloads at any time i wish and no disk to store (technically no individual disk to store, i still keep a physical backup of all steam games on my backup HDD). I dont need , nor want a physical manual, box or disk.
