I fyou liked News Radio, I suggest you check out Scrubs. It's in it's second season this fall. I think you can catch reruns during the summer on Tuesday or Thursday nights. It's the only show I watch any more besides The Mole.

If you want to gauge how many people will be there, look for the RSVPs.

Is he saying this just because the odds of a tiny (relativley) piece of something has a very slim chance of hitting a slightly less tiny(relativly) object in the whole universe? Or is there some property of Earth's magnetic field or some other force that would cause things to be pushed away from us? What effect will this have on the stock market? It should have no effect at all. This is already refelected in their current stock price and anyone who didn't expect this shouldn't be on Wall St. BUT! This will trigger more panic selling on Monday. There has got to be a stop to panic driven selling on all markets before the economic slide will stop. And that will take a confidence boost which you can't create with legislation or tough attitudes. Smart investors will stay in the stock market and buy up all the cheap stock that will be riding high in a few years. Please, lets all come to our senses and stop this craziness. I need to sell my house and it would really help if the percieved economy improved. *grin*

If they were trying to do right by the customer, the November release would be this 6-disc set he mentions and you would get both for $30 instead of having two boxes sitting around with 75% of the same stuff and paying $40 for the whole thing to boot. I have to disagree. I've got a Handera 330 with the soft writing area and love it! For one I can minimize it when I don't need it(browsing, reading, gaming), and it echos my pen path so I can see what it thinks I just wrote. That definetly cleared up some confusion on why I can't write a space to save my life. I've had it for over a year now and have had no scratches at all on it and I use it quite a lot. I do have a keyboard for when I have to input a ton of stuff. Another thing I might suggest if your screen is scratching easily is to get a screen protector. I used one on my palm III and it worked great, but I haven't needed it on the Handera.

  24. God != Christian on Pledge of Allegiance Ruled Unconstitutional · · Score: 2

Okay, to save time replying to each and every misinformed poster out there, let me clarify something for you all. When we talk about God, we are not talking about a specific religion. God is not unique to Christianity. To the Jews, God is Yawhe (sp?) to Islamics it's Allah, to Christians it's actually a tri-un god made up of three persons (God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). The only people who have a problem with the concept of God is the athesits, or maybe the agnostics who are decidedly undecided on the whole matter. I have seen countless posts here that try to portray the "under God" phrase as Christian, or anti-Islamic, or non-Jewish. The prase says God, not Jesus or THE God. God is a very generic term. I don't mean to sound like flamebait, but just because all the slashdotters looking to rebel against something have seen christianity as one of those things to rebel against, doesn't mean the rest of the religious world sees it that way. Please become enlightened before you spew out your uneducated opinions.

He's not saying no one should do it, but rather that they will not get reelected if they do. He's probably right, and here is why. Elected officials are elected to act on the behalf of their constituents. If the majority of their constituents believe that this phrase should remain, and they see that their representative does not, they may well not vote for him as a representative of their views. Now if that representative comes from a largely athestic community, slashdot ville for example, then he/she/it has a good chance of getting relected. That's how a republic works.
