I think you are taking an adult mindset and transposing it onto a child. Children and adults have a very different power structure, especially family than adults do amongst themselves. Ratting out their dad, no matter how horrible the perceived pain is not really an option to most kids. Unless you somehow missed childhood, or more likely judging by your ignorance grew up with a silver spoon- you would get why your comments are considered troll.
I can rid myself of EMI. I generally avoid RIAA member released CD's, but occasionally will buy one from one if it is something I really want. One thing I refuse to do however is to buy from the Walmart, Target or BB's of the world. EMI has made a difficult choice for me, and it isn't in their favor.
Way to miss my point. We already have tons of F-16, F-15s, Superhornets and even F22s. Where the heck did you get the whole "we only need drones" thing?
Just because he isn't Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell doesn't make him a lib. I think the mainstream you guys have lost is precisely because of attitudes like this.
This is exactly what we are doing with the A-10 fleet. New wings and upgraded avionics. Stealth is great, but you only need a few of them to get the job done.
I think the point is that war is really not an air to air thing for us anymore. Which is why a Predator is a better use of funds. I would be with you if we were planning on dumping all the Super Hornets, F-15s and F22 that we have already in the ocean. But as it is we need to be focused on the future of war, not the past.
It would be, but the F35 is in most ways a cheaper inferior aircraft. But it fits the bill for many uses. I think you are making the mistake of thinking the higher the F# the better the plane.
When Apple made the switch they were in the exactly the situation you describe. The G5s were still quite competitive with multicores and such. But the Powerbook/iBooks were woefully underpowered with their single G4s.
You are right about a lot of the overhead but- benefits? I mean sure they don't run a sweatshop... but I think you may be overestimating how little they actually receive. Its almost nothing.
I used to go to VGChartz all the time until a few months ago they "updated" their site with seeming dozens of constant flash ads, talking, moving, popping up on the forums, ect. It got to the point where my Core2Duo desktop was litterally pausing for 5 seconds everytime I navigated to a new page. Pretty quickly I realized that the content on the site wasn't worth my time. I see this happening more and more. Sure I could have used adblock but frankly they were asking for a price (getting attacked by ads) and I chose not to pay it (leaving the site). I was glad to see a few ads, but abuse is a sure sign you have little respect for your readers.
I can only speak from my Geek Squad experience, but there was always something to be done. The reason people put it off and screwed around was because they didn't care about a job that didn't think they were worth more than the guy sweeping the floor.
Thats pretty sad that it is such an unmanageable problem that HP has basically given up policing their workforce. Granted stuff like this will always happen given a large enough pool of employees. But to throw up the white flag and give up is pretty sad.

I think you missed the point... Read some of the comments.
Those parents must be kicking themselves so hard.

So is it regulation that is destroying the world economy now? That is really a fresh take on insanity.
No I was responding to the point in the parent.

Yeah because buying hundreds of cold war style fighters is a great use of money...
It is reliable, safe, cheap to maintain, and an insane ass kicker. If only all military aircraft were like that...
While anything is possible. I don't see anybody whipping up a F22 ass kicking airforce without us noticing and having a chance to plan.
Yeah its a continent.
Agreed, I think it was a typo and he meant to say Mach 2. Which sounds about right.
As you pointed out, it just depends on how you define capable. The F22 has better stealth sure, but more versatile it is not.
The Typhoon? Really? I mean it is a nice conventional fighter. But the F22 would murder it based on steathiness alone.

Yeah I've got a G4 iBook (1.2ghz) that required me to force-quit Safari about ever 5-6 page loads. Painfully unusable.

Here's the real rub. While their charging you $50 to install ram, they are paying the guy who does it $8.50 an hour.
