    you're right, and this is why companies like microsoft have really been pushing hard for it. personally i think the main cause of the move is due to software piracy and open source diluting profits.

    I have 2 monitors and 10 virtual desktops (6 of which are in use at the moment). They're not mutually exclusive. I laugh at people who "close programs" like they are still in the MS-DOS era.

    I don't think google is any example of reliability. I have had their pages return errors/failures dozens of times.

    They even lost my entire portfolio on their finance page once for a day or two.. however, that is a "beta" service. (whatever that means)

    Also Firefox is slow, bloated, and crashes frequently on Windows and Linux.
