what you are suggesting is the best way to cover your ass, not the best way to help. and how do you "protect the others" without touching those going nuts? have you thought about this for, like, more than 2 seconds, or was that just a knee-jerk defense of authority, because you're not a bouncer, and that is the safest? at any rate, fuck all of that.
heh. what is "the left"? also, there is open-mindedness, and there's dumb sophistry, so if "being open minded" to you is just having your brain flap around, screaming "take me I'm yours", and "tolerance" to you is saying "say, that's a nice erection" to a rapist in passing, and nodding politely to the victim, I won't have any of that either.
Yep, insightful. And interestingly, it is a response to the blurb you posted in response to it. Behold:
Frankly, it becomes meaningless if we enable it by default for all our users. Do Not Track is intended to express an individualâ(TM)s choice, or preference
from the post your replied to:
The option should be "Tell websites I'm okay with being tracked" and should be ticked off by default.
Do you see it yet? Their argument is that "DNT would be meaningless if enabled by default, because then it doesn't express a user's CHOICE(tm). That's all they got... and it would be completely, without any residue or lingering concerns, solved by renaming the option, so ticking the box would express the CHOICE(tm) they so feverishly claim to be concerned about.
And you moan that "this keeps coming up", as if that was silly, and then post something that simply reinforces how valid it is to be brought up... ? Heh. Just no. That's not even a nice try.
shooting at pigeons released from cages qualifies as "taking of game" to you? and hey, even if they violated the law -- just because you have a gun around doesn't make it a proper (or even sane) response to shoot the drone down like that, so what's up with that? you guys talk like one makes up for the other, but that's pure bullshit. maybe less blah blah, more paying attention, hmm?
"Sorry, but the adaptation didn't go away just because we moved to cities and packed our meat in plastic.
I'd rather the people who have the hunting impulse most strongly exercise it responsibly"
that would be basketball, soccer, first person shooters, ping pong, hunting hunters, playing chess, that sort of thing... hunting animals however, much less those who are rare or even on the brink of extinction, isn't just irresponsible, it's fucking stupid to boot. it's for total lamers and sissies who DON'T have any [completely made up impulses cuz that makes it sound scientific] worth talking about, seeing how they don't face other *humans*, but run after helpless animals who didn't stand a chance even 1000 years ago and haven't evolved since. if you ask me that's the bottom of the barrel no matter *what* impulse you might pull out of your ass.
Does that make everyone who kills/hunts animals sadistic? No. There are not 50 million serial killers in the US. This reality may be inconvenient to your way of thinking
50 million sadists sounds feasible though, while just saying "this is correct" with ZERO arguments, getting modded up to 4, is hilarious, but not informative at all. all that tells me is that you don't like the fact of fucked up people being pointed out, because there's so many of them that it can't be accepted -- instead you just herpa-derp-blah-blah about TV and reality and cats ffs. you diss "ways of thinking" because you don't think, period.
yeah, only in this case the garden party is more like a bunch of dumb fucks taking turns raping a dog, which makes the moral picture you want to draw so vastly, vastly different.... it says a lot about people if they see no difference between caging then killing a bunch of birds, and a "garden party". if that is your idea of fun, you can go play in traffic as far as I'm concerned, and the sooner that happens, the better.
oh yeah, that's just nasty. getting some minor details wrong. that's just nasty!!!
however, getting off by shooting pigeons, then throwing a dumbshit tantrum and shooting down "their toy", that's totally reasonable...... no wait, it isn't. I guess you're just a fellow dumbshit, this story seems to attract a LOT of those. and when they can't shoot their tiny metal penises, they moderate haha ^^
Sure, because that stuff is not ever used to cause harm, only to prevent it.
I'm going to stand around talking about privacy issues if my kid has been stolen away by someone who is probably busy raping that kid in a panel van
No, you're standing around talking about it while none of that has even happened. Why don't you just lube it up and present it as a gift to your local Gauleiter? That would be way more tasteful than parading the potential rape of a child around like this.
The post you replied to was talking about "most of Europe". Did you swap that out for "UK" because that's the most orwellian country in it by far and the only way to have a lame comeback, or because it's the only one you know?
that'd be kinga legitimizing what they're doing, and turn it into a game. a game only 0.5% of the population would play, too.not to mention how trivial it would be to distinguish the faked stuff from the real stuff. "false sense of security" ring a bell? what a terrible, terrible idea. no, instead face the predators of the real world in the real world, not with thunderbird plugins. just a thought.
I've often thought that even if I could get cheap unlimited hosting, and as much as I want to host my own stuff myself and would like to extend that 'service' to others -- I just wouldn't want to have to monitor everything 24/7. I mean, I'm cool with a "report abuse" feature, and I realize one would have to react to that, but that's a long shot from being "responsible for what your users do, period". So this is awesome, and I'm not thinking of downloading music at all.. sanity like this simply makes it possible to do fuck all that's actually interesting on the web without having to hire a bunch of lawyers and whatnot. Yay!
Considering how many things in China just explode, or fall apart for no reason, and how often
I am so fascinated by fantasizing about you fantasizing about that, I can hardly put it in words. yeah folks, let's just consider how many things in China just explode, or fall apart for no reason, and how often! I completely forgot about that. In the USA only democracy and the social system fall apart and explode, but look at those bags of rice go. and should China ever amount to anything, there's still plenty of fucked up countries that don't happen to be allies at this moment in time, don't you worry your surrogate controlling brain about that.
(heh, this story doesn't even piss me off that much, but nationalism kinda does)
oh don't worry, they use pages captured from the web after all.
my worry is, will they also test it against the standards? you know, like they should be doing:O
and personally, I'd rather have browsers that support the standards and that's it, than browser vendors having to maintain (and browsers having to contain) huge amounts of special case code, which in turn prolongs sloppy website authorship. I know very well it won't happen, but I would love to have such a browser. you know, a hardcore strict edition that simply has all the legacy derp support commented out by preprocessor flags, just to see how it runs.

good.

thanks! I had no idea store cameras were included in those figures, that's kinda silly.
You're right, I totally forgot about Russia and Turkey o_O
did you just compare CCTV inside of stores to CCTV in public spaces... seriously?
Sure, because that stuff is not ever used to cause harm, only to prevent it.

nah, that's just missing from your own personal reading comprehension. to wit: "a restraining order was issued."
The post you replied to was talking about "most of Europe". Did you swap that out for "UK" because that's the most orwellian country in it by far and the only way to have a lame comeback, or because it's the only one you know?
isn't that obvious? it means it's not the anonymous, purely statistical data you claimed it is in the sentence before that.

fret not: sometimes +5 funny doubles as exactly that, and so it does in this case.
hmm, no.

haha, name one comment I made about americans... good thing you're not full of shit, right?
did you just call george carlin a pedophile?
