Does anyone know if pcmcia works during the install for 2004.1? I tried using both the universal and unversal-minimal images for 2004.0, and had no luck. (Don't happen to have the hardware to test with in front of me, or I'd answer my own question.)
so how exactly is this a problem? Are you able to get it from his pocket? No. Let's say you rob him. Are you going to assume that these random barcodes are passwords, and what systems they belong to? No. I've heard this argument before, but I don't understand what the threat is.

Amen, brother! Consumer is such a demeaning way to refer to a person. You hit the nail right on the head. As if we are powerless slaves. We not only have a conscience, but we can act on it as free humans, larger than the issues that affect us. Our role is not to make others money.
My english teacher in college once commented that he heard us (the class) refered to as "consumers" and that this made him afraid, because he thought that meant we were going to eat him!
"Of course, there are people out there with enough time and knowledge to do it and spread the info, but I doubt if an inexperienced or unmotivated person could do it."
This is the same situation with computer hacking: one person creates the exploit, many use it. It happens all the time. The only difference is that chipping requires money whereas the money required to use exploits (ISP connection fees, time) is largely invisable.
Much of the original specification for carnivore is still considered classified (see redactions here: http://www.epic.org/privacy/carnivore/foia_documen ts.html). So just what will the FBI allow you to disclose in this interview?
I believe that the pronoun was left purposefully ambiguous to allow us to use our imagination. Though this is not strictly grammatically correct, please let me see your grammar nazi permit.

An Israeli webserver cries.
I think you're thinking of The Galactic Pot-Healer, by Phillip K. Dick.
I think I can provide a port based DDOS attack against them. Aww yeah!
I need to get out more.
Open source has fewer bugs.
Bill Gates: bugs are cool.
Ergo, open source is not cool!
Ok, so I'll be careful when picking up Shakespere stories created by an infinite number of monkies that *actual* monkies were used.
Thanks Slashdot!

it's called a dumb terminal.
Thank you.
When you said "typing issues", I thought at first you were talking about all those parenthesis you have to use!

How about we change the name though? Destruction of free speech < destruction of millions.

I get a password dialog box.
Cool! Thanks for the suggestion. Some of the hardest things to see are those which are right in front of your eyes.
is to be able with dpkg/apt to install just from a list of packages ala RedHat kickstart. Does anyone have any elegant solutions?

Indeed. Consider, alot of people, especially men, especially geeks, are exhausted by talking. Keyboarding is alot less stressful over time.
