No one can win in "IT warfare" because no matter what you do, as long as someone has the desire to, they will hack and crack it. Think about the iPod's checksum, it was defeated within a few days. HD-DVD and DVDs are cracked and some are reporting Blu-Ray cracked too.
True, but keep in mind that encryption algorithms made by Math PhDs at the NSA are more complex, and less available to mainstream society than the restricted electronics that are hacked in message boards. DRM may be pointless and a waste of time, but IT warfare certainly is not.
Thing is that there are some very basic skills that if one does not learn before a certain age, they will probably never learn. This is because the neural nets will get used for other things or will shut off. Therefore if there is no math or quantitative thought taught to these people, then they can probably never learn. If we try and fail to teach their children, then there could be an evolutionary problem going on in this isolated group.
Why is it that economists think they can just research whatever the hell they feel like without having the right credentials? It really bothers me how they make all social scientists look bad by pulling whatever they want out of their asses?
For the record, there is more to science that the "hard" sciences, and plenty of theories in the social sciences that can be falsified, that are testable, and are not correlational.
...and what other wars have we been in since it was created? What other air forces in the world are "first line?", much less both that and potential enemies of the US? The average Russian pilot of 20 years has as much flight experience as a USAF pilot of 4 or 5 years. Iran, NK and even China aren't at all caught up to the USAF. I also don't see what your point about SF is for since I was arguing about sams vs AAA and wild weasels etc.
They may have taken out the stuff in the desert, but they weren't taking out the radars and sams around Baghdad. Saying that stealths have only faced standard AAA is not accurate for this reason, as well as the numerous other times that the 117s were used in many conflicts.
The F117s were out there for a long ass time, and the F4Gs and apaches didn't make a bit of difference for the 117s. Its the regular AAA over baghdad that had em scared. Keep in mind that at the time the stealth had only been declassified for a short period of time and no one knew shit about it. I know loads of 117 pilots (my dad was one) and personally know half the people you see in documentaries about the stealth who told me this stuff.
True. However it does annoy the shit out of me when people say "he's from London" about me because I was born in England. When they ask "How was london?" I'll make some comment about whichever airport I flew in to since I'm not from London.
Funny, I was allowed to photograph them up close about two years ago. I would have been allowed to sit in the cockpit had they been flying that day and had the ladders out.
Correct, the Iraqi AF did not leave the ground at all during the second war, and a lot of em flew to Iran of all places during the first one rather than face the USAF.
Yeah, and don't forget you didn't have water either. You had to take the hydrogen, and the oxygen, and mash 'em together! AND YOU WERE GRATEFUL FOR IT!

...I for one welcome our new nigerian car-copter overlords!
....will it be backwards compatible with web 1.0??
if someone had an OEM windows me, they DESERVE a free copy of XP in my book.
...is it backwards compatible with web 1.0...?
I was joking. I know full well that rsync is well beyond the capacity of most people.
rsync.
In all fairness, I love both Linux and OS X.

The F117 that went down was a lucky shot from AAA. The stealth tech had nothing to do with it.
It's not just Japan. We won't sell it to ANYONE, including Australia.

So as a desktop linux user, should I be concerned? I googled anything that I wasn't sure of in ps aux and think I'm ok. Running Ubuntu Feisty x64.

Only AOL could make something so bloated and overdone that it collapses under....oh wait thats a black hole. Where is Mr. Hawking when we need him?
....at least Macs are Unix based?
"Support is not required" I think is what you were getting at?
...Well, I like open source but I'm not a zealot. I don't see how you drew that conclusion from the post I just made.
Support != Required
