Maybe if you're gay. Us old-school hetero males have problems with effeminate styling. I know it's uncouth nowadays to question anything feminine but...
Well, at least in America, but actually everywhere in the world, almost everyone is stupid. Yet they still make shows about smart people? Doesn't this make them stand out, potentially corrupting the character?
Starting off by throwing up dialog boxes and asking the user questions they cannot answer is NOT helpful and just reminds people that Windows are hard to use.
When you think of it this way, it's not so bad anymore.
Well, maybe internationally, but at least in Slovenia, mailing an envelope costs ~40cents, while banks (and, ironically, the post office as well) will charge well over an euro for a transaction to another bank. Of course I'm not smart enough to comprehend how can processing and delivering mail cost more than changing a couple of number in a computer, but that's probably just me.
I have no problem with giving it time, and I use LibreOffice already. However, I don't think posting an article about their differences to Slashdot is worth it.
Spending 500B on some remote country == OK. Spending 500B on your own country, benefiting the same people who elected you and paid this very money through taxes = Bad.
``China Building City For Cloud Computing'' -- scientific progress, business development etc., vs. ``US To Fire Up Big Offshore Wind Energy Projects'' -- populism towards tree-hugging hippies, and not even cost-effective at that. Guess which action will pay back better in the longer run?
I don't think you really got a representative example of US activities. Rather compare money spent for renewable energy sources (which are a good thing, even if not effective in the short run) with military expenses and oil-related costs.
They're attractive.

Actually, the correct term in this case would be center of volume.
How about "Housing"?
Oh, the eternal struggle between Capitalization and Socialization...
"...invade the land of the sand people"
The Sand People are easily startled but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers. Take that rich elite!
Will they bring worms?

Sheldon was crazy about Firefly as well, in fact he reserved the time slot for several years into the future.
Also, if you're going to cheat, you may as well watch a movie, you fucking griefer assholes.
You got it all wrong, games are actually more like movies with cheats.

Unfortunately, TrollTech (which is a great example of what GP described) will soon be owned by Microsoft.
And then people will register an account there, and comment on these news, or just, you know, post anonymously.
Wait, what? The Qt documentation is by far the best I've seen. Care to point out a few examples where it's conflicting and/or lacking?
Indeed, if these two companies have anything in common it's being late to the party.
Yes, Qt in its current form will be freely available, but what if nobody from Nokia works on it? No more new features?
