As stated in above comments virtual host is running multiple websites on a single server.
Example, mysite1.example.com, mysite2.example.com, example2.com, etc all running on the same server and can even share same IP address. Refer to name virtual hosts in apache httpd documentation.
If you want to run virtual web server on one hardware box you need something like Xen, KVM, QEMU etc.
If you want to use Fedora/CentOS or alike RPM based distros the below link will help.
Upgrading software is a never ending story. It is very likely that his distro provides Firefox 2.x. It's just a matter of running the update program. Waiting for another release of Firefox doesn't make sense. Well, he can also wait for Firefox 4.x, 5.x, 6.x,...
Politicians invest in election campaigns. They spend a lot of money to bribe party workers, voters, polling booth fraudsters and the rest of the company. They expect exponential returns for their investment. This is an open secret in third world countries. And many be first and second world countries too.
He realized later that he just assumed in his first post that Google's software for mobile phones was insecure. The picture included in the original article adds weight to this argument. And then he tires to defend himself with another interpretation of his article. He's a troll.
Citizens of Nigeria, see what's happening in your country. Get to know how your tax paid money is spent by your government officials on software licenses. Can your government afford to change decisions after the lengthy evaluation and pay two vendors?

"One thing in the war has become clear: Windows will never own the server room. Linux will never own the desktop."
I disagree. We have been using only GNU/Linux in our server rooms and on our desktops. We have helped many businesses migrate to GNU/Linux both on desktops and servers. The number of migrations to FOSS we are seeing everyday are growing exponentially.
It's either
Linux will own the server room and the desktop too
Or a heterogeneous environment.
I think there are is another solution, if it is feasible for you. Print all the documents on paper. Use a document management software to scan and store the documents in digital format. The new format can be in image formats like PNG or JPEG. This way you don't need to depend on legacy hardware and software.
I wonder if would Dell manufacture keyboards with Linux key with the Penguin icon on it instead of the Windows key on it for the computers with pre-installed Linux. What about the computers with dual boot capabilities? Would they have keys with half M$ logo and half Penguin logo?
I've had the oppornutity to migrate a company of size one hundred employees to OpenOffice. They are indeed opening MS Office documents with OpenOffice and so far they haven't had any issues as such. Initially they had some problems with file formats. But now they've learned the workarounds. More than anything else the company are freed from endless licensing wrath.
He didn't lose any contract. ASAIK, he never did any project business. Newspapers wrote whatever came to their mind.

Whatever operating system you use, you can run apache on it. Distro is more of a personal choice.
BCM4310 also does not have any free drivers. You either have to ditch it or use ndiswrapper
For some reason, I read it as Slash Daughter.
Just the way Fedora takes away credit from upstream projects.

CTRL+ALT+F1 works fine on my box. I can login to the shell in another terminal and then kill the X.
