Having played slot machines semi-frequently myself, I can honestly say that to the best of my knowledge, every machine I have ever played translated the money into credits. Someone who cashed out of the machine, realized something fishy was going on, added more money, cashed out again, rinsed and repeated *might* be someone worth investigating. FTA, The woman who reported the machine to the casino has it right - the casino doesn't give you your money back if a machine jams, so it shouldn't work the other way. If a convenience store gives you too much change, you're under no obligation to correct the mistake. Gambling parlors are basically a license to print money anyway, so I can't imagine $500k will take long to recover.
I hate M$ as much as the next guy, but sometimes odds do crazy things. For example, my ex-gf was playing hold-em last night and won a hand. It was the 2nd ever straight flush she'd ever had, AND the other guy that went all-in against her had 4 4's. Any guesses what the odds of a 4 of a kind AND a straight flush showing up on the same hand? I don't know, but I'm sure it's not good. I will bet against a second person showing up saying they've had 11 bad X360s in a row, though.
One thing that I wonder about though, does anybody remember when they tried to put a chip in the puck so that they could highlight it on screen, and show it's trail? I remember they stopped doing it because the pucks didn't last long due to the stress they're put under in an NHL game. Was that a limitation of the technology available at the time, or is that just a limitation of technology in general?
Worst. Idea. Ever. I think it went away because it was universally seen for the cheesy gimmick that it was.
I think the biggest problem with hockey is the ADD society we live in. Baseball, football, and basketball all have some sort of event guaranteed to happen in a limited amount of time. Hockey can go most of a game without a goal being scored, and there are rarely more than 10-15 notable plays in a game. I don't think it's a coincidence that hockey and soccer are big in Europe but not in America where we need something happening every second of every day.
To the grandparent: While I have nostalgia about the Civic Arena (which it will remain until Mellon pays me to call it something else), it's not a very comfortable place to watch a game. Also, Lang and Staggy are great announcers which add to the excitement of the game on TV or radio.
I don't play my Wii everyday, but it's still good for ~10 hours per week. In the long run, that's a good thing. My Wii time was seriously cutting into my g/f time, although in retrospect I may have made made the wrong choice.
I hope they don't. I hope the DMCA is applied as broadly and as liberally as possible so we can see how silly it is. You vastly underestimate the incompetence that is government and bureaucracy. You might as well say something like "The Patriot act should be passed, because people will realize how many of their freedoms are being taken away and start doing something about it."
See, that's where the government went wrong. I would gladly give up lots of constitutional rights for the "Cute Furry Kitten Act", but I hate the Patriot act. I was going to alter my diet as well, but now I can order Freedom Fries instead.
*sigh*
It's times like this that I'm glad I don't get cable and just use friends dumb enough to pay for HBO to watch the Sopranos.
Runaway would be a better choice for a Bon Jovi song
I've seen a few of these artists in other posts, but I don't remember which ones. Pat Benetar Blondie Gogos Bangles AC/DC Whitesnake Billy Idol Bryan Adams Don Henley - Boys of Summer (the Atari's remix could be used as well) Genesis/Phil Collins - pick a better song that Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, that song blows Chicago, although I have no idea which song I would pick Def Leppard Sting/The Police Wang Chung The Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star - sure it came out in '79, but it's still an 80's song.
Given that my PS2 is now over 6 years old and could stand to be replaced, I would consider buying a PS3 if it was only $300. Yes, I am one of the people who would spend an extra $170 on a PS3 instead of another PS2 just to keep my future game buying options open.
Circuit City CEO Schoonover received $1.4 million in salary and bonuses in fiscal 2006, plus 340,000 stock option shares and $96,929 in other compensation mostly related to use of a company jet, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Maybe it should be. Only in America can stupid/lazy employees get rewarded. At my last job, 2 of the 3 programmers left because they hired a moron to be the new IT director. The guy who remained was too lazy to look for a new job and was the worst of the three of us, but he got a raise anyway just so they didn't lose him as well.
Given that my local Toys'R'Us says they are getting 60 Wiis in on April 1, I find this very believable. Kudos to Nintendo for realizing they already had a huge profit and deciding to make sure their next fiscal year also turns a profit. Realistically, it's an unnecessary move, but why risk annoying your stockholders with a losing year?
Rumor has it that the state voted twice - on AutoMARK machines the result was a unanimous win for AutoMARK. The second vote used Diebold machines and resulted in several votes for Pat Buchanan.
What, you mean try to make money by selling CDs? But that would involve having artists put out CDs that don't suck. To do that you need talented artists. And you have to search for them, audition them, etc. That just takes too much time and effort.
Besides, war-dialing for people to sue seems like it would be much more fun.
This is costing Nintendo possibly millions of dollars. How exactly is Sony making money by having their systems sit on shelves and not be sold? I don't think anyone is saying "Nintendo is such a stupid company for not having 18 millions Wiis available at once." I tend to hear things like "If I wanted a PS3, I would go buy one. But I don't want one, so I'll wait for a Wii."
A new OS being released isn't a good reason to upgrade as long as your current one works. I still have a Win 95 machine that I use for old games, mostly Serf City and Dune 2. And I don't worry about security because it resides on a network that isn't on the internet.

Lets look at who Clinton pardoned:

Ok.

It doesn't look like he waited until his last day in office to pardon people, even though he did pardon a lot on his last day.

No.
I'm also surprised some disingenuous mod hasn't marked that Flamebait, I've metamoderated and seen it for less.
You forgot those pillars of great music the Spice Girls, (/sarcasm) (reality) who have now been around for over a decade.
I still want to see Video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles. I don't care if it came out in '79, it's still an 80s song.

No guarantees, but http://www.itrackr.com/ helped me get my Wii back in February.

You're on the right track here. Just ask spyware makers one simple question with two options:
Would you like to go to federal "pound me in the @$$" prison?
-> Yes
-> I'm pretty sure I do, but first I just want a 90-day demo

GT Pro Series is a good choice for solo gaming. Zelda can be played while sitting, so I wouldn't say it requires "flailing around."
It's a shame you can't mod entire articles. The only thing this one is missing is a big neon sign saying "Trolls and flamers welcome."
"$750K gets me what? Here's $3M, I'd like to prepay for 3 more."
