Yes I would like to be able to build a laptop like I build a desktop. A rickedy wooden box with a 20x4 blue & white, backlit LCD is not a laptop. Well I guess you could put it on your lap, but you know what I mean.
while it is possible that the explanation will be mundane--such as thrust from gas leakage--the possibility of entirely new physics is also being considered.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_anomaly
Strangest of all:
Data from the Galileo and Ulysses spacecraft indicate a similar effect
Some people would like to be able to customize (especially sound cards), but mass producing a "super chip" would be more cost effective. You could of course have different versions of "super chips".
Werent the first co-processors FPUs. Arent they now integrated into the CPU? By having all these thing sin one chip they will have much lower latency with communicating between themselves. I think all in one multi-core chips is the future if you ask me.
Your post at 6:32 Why not just require more concise, less ambiguous language in the patents? is clearly a violation of my Intellectual Property in my 6:27AM post For one thing the applications are overly complex if you ask me. Please cease and desist immediately.
How about some common sense. For one thing the applications are overly complex if you ask me. I bet amazons one-click patent app was over ten pages. You read ten pages on making a one-click-super-ecommerce-solution and you might think it was a complex patentable idea. Well, maybe you wouldnt but someone there does.
The issue at hand is you or me dying of flu in 10 years, because we idly chucked the last antibiotics that still work against resistant bacteria all over the foodchainThe flu and the common cold is caused by a virus and unaffected by antibiotics.
I know people who insist on taking antibiotics whenever they get sick despite what I tell them. A lot of people do it, and this is also contributing (perhaps the biggest contributer?) to drug resistance. Maybe I could get into the Placebo business. Got the cold or flu? Here take my placebo, no perscription, and it works just as good as antibiotics!
What is supposed to happen, actually? Are we going to have cameras follow every person, 24/7? That means someone to study that footage, right? And someone to study the footage of them studying the footage of you? And....on and on.
They arent suggesting watching everyone. They want to record everything, then when something happens, rewind and then watch the given location. We obviously dont have the man power to watch everyone, but when computers can do it for us....
Ya, wouldnt it be nice to record politicians, cops, and other government officials 24/7 (or at least while theyre working)? It would really cut down on corruption. Dont hold your breath though.
Someones been watching too much 24. I dont believe the Uk even records every camera for much time.. Lets assume you use 350mb an hour to store your video, not the best but acceptable quality.
If it is an OEM type of machine (like from Dell) the key is on the side of the box. There is no need to spend $150 on a new OS, just find the CD elsewhere. I am sure someone doing PC repairs has a Windows XP CD lying around or knows where to find one.
Yes, but certain keys work with certain CDs. They unfortunately arent interchangeable. One PC I have wouldnt reboot after using the auto-upgrade feature to download SP2. So I got a SP2 CD, but it didnt like my old (legal) CD key. So I found a working key on the web, now I got that damn Windows Genuine Advantage thing popping up.
And just who is going to pay for the ungodly amount of storage this would require?
Why us of course.
And the next step is keeping track of what pictures you download. At that point it will be easier for each ISP to just cache the entire internet. Then finally the term "the internets" will be accurate.
Theyre called cell phone repeaters. They are expensive ~ $300 - $100 and may run afoul of the FCC. If the cells are for job related communication, why not get some walkie-talkies?
GoldenEye DS
Theyre refering to the N64 Goldeneye made by rare. Since Microsoft bought rare butchered perfect dark. EA got the 007 contracts. The best we can hope for is a Timesplitters on DS. But it would be almost as good...
New bones found! Slightly different than other bones!

Only hundreds of thousands of miles? Thats not too bad given the size of the solar system.
Yeah, but it's hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
Even better!
I fancy myself as someone who supports the rights of the individual, but is this the place to start? Maybe its as good a place as any...

24 X 350 = 8400 = 8.4 GB a day
1000 cameras x 8.4 GB = 8.4 TB a day
Hmm, on second thought this seems possible.
If sony could rootkit your computer and your hardware couldnt tell, would they?
Not at its age. Far too young.
I thought the Sun was middle aged...isnt that when you usually expand?
says the Mars data is evidence that the current global warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun.
Ya but what changes? Can we measure said changes? What about global dimming?

What about the the First Amendment? What? They dont have that in Canada? How about the Second? They dont have that either? Well at least they got pot.
OMG CORPORATIONS!!

Lots of companies do this, and they wouldnt do it if it didnt work.

I heard Vista was awful for games, so DX10 or not it seems to be a total waste of time.
Maybe, but some games coming out are going to be DX10 only. Its the only (popular among developers) game in town.
