But all the big consumer PC brands like Dell, HP, Vaio, Gateway, etc. are Riddled with exclusive deals. By the time they can think of distributing these cards in their PCs the next generation will be out.
Remember, all those years when AMD had amazing processors, the couldn't gain market share because most re-sellers were stuck with long term intel-exclusive deals....
Same with what's stopping linux now... It was unfit for consumer use for a long time.. But with distro's like Ubuntu, It is mature enough for everyone, but Microsoft exclusive deals and Fears of not able to use proprietary appls like Yahoo! Messenger voice chat, that microphone, google talk, videos on ABC.com, etc. stop ppl from migrating en=masse
If the newspaper has good quality, people will want to read it, provided the cost is reasonable...
how does any newspaper justify 2-2.5$(wsj, financial times) even if they office some good insight....
newspapers have to change from reporting the news to analyzing and providing good opinion, consequences and literary language... Everyone knows the news from TV the night before, or within 10 minutes of it happening online...
many newspapers still do good in India because they identified the above and changed their format and content to suit the same...
The reader should feel like reading cover to cover trying to understand everything and feeling good and informative about it...
quality value at a reasonable price ( a quarter, like many papers already are)...
will there be near future when we have to worry about 64 vs 128bit ??
or will cpu instructions also go the core way, and have as many multiple of 32 as one wishes?
never know the future...
Any equally good benchmarks, which also include a comparison of the 64bit and 32bit java versions...
now that java has a 64bit browser plugin, i don't have to worry about separate browser and stuff...
just waiting for the final version of 64bit flash to come out...
You can try snap server, it has enterprise level speed and reliability, flexibility...
supports almost all the file sharing protocols and authentication protocols out there...
Wireless power, you still need to be around a live power source.
Nuclear batteries are the best option, plug in and last for life.
The only problem being the batteries may outlast the device by a n factor...
Didn't the machines in Terminator future run on nuclear batteries or something?
Wondering about how the attackers got the credentials...
Clickjacking, rootkits or something ?
technically you cannot get a password using click jacking, but maybe something like email the password whatever...
Adobe is using QT to develop its application suites.
Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements, Acrobat etc.. are on QT which is a cross platform graphics library and they essentially needed to this as their products work on both linux and mac.
and QT is the base for KDE and there is no doubt that QT is strong on linux, unix and any os u name.
so the front end wise, adobe should absolutely be having no problem in porting stuff linux and looks like they may have it in their long term strategies.
If any organization nowadays does not provide their products on Linux(but available on other *nix OS, mac is based on bsd remember), it is got more to do with support costs rather than development costs on that platform.
We are used to loading 4.375 gigs on the dvds and thats what we use mostly... one disc scramming in 4-5 movies and days of music.
so when we go buy a music cd and realize that this WHOLE disc plays for just 72 minutes, sub-consciously we feel a bit disappointed . . .
just think about it, of the very few cds you have bought recently how many did u keep using as such, and how many have u ripped and just used the compressed files.
most car stereos and hi-fi systems now support mp3 and wma, so the question of buying discs to play in those devices is not considerate..
I think this is also a factor for declining cd sales.

actually I meant India.... sorry, didn't want to focus on the state...
Well reported this happened in Gujarat, they were arrested because they didn't bribe enough or belonged to certain reiligious cult...

Who needs DNS hijacking if domain registrar accounts can be hacked... maybe RSA keys and biometrics to access registrars ?
