Hasn't KDE had this for quite some time?
</flamebait>
But this is still cool.... I remember when I got KDE and Anti-Alias fonts on my desktop with Mandrake 8.0.... it looked "too good"... almost made my eyes hurt. Anyone know why that would happen, or have experienced it?
Come on man.

Right tool for the right job I suppose, but the guy posing the question didn't say why it was so great (ie Why he liked it).
BTW, I like chocolate chip coookies.
Maybe the problem is that Ruby isn't known to everyone yet. Everyone's heard of C, and many have heard of Java outside of programming circles, but even if you're in the circle, you may have never heard of Ruby. (I think its that scripting language out of Japan).
If you did that in a casino, the would haul you off in a heartbeat. Try tapping your foot irregularly at a blackjack table, and see if they don't ask what you are doing.
A friend of mine has written code that can play Minesweeper and FreeCel. It's amazing to watch it play freecel. I think the streak record for it is like 250 games.

We used to fill 2 Liter bottles with cold water and dry ice (don't use hot, as the bottle will expand, cold keeps the plastic from melting) and seal it up. After moments, the thing would blow.
The good ones happened when it didn't blow, and some brave sould had to whack it with a shovel. Seeing a guy hit in the sac with a speeding bottle cap is funny.
Certain bottles would fail differntly. The plastic juice bottles would blow the cap off. The top would just blow itself off the threaded part. It would still be screwed on, just "open" at the top....
Soda bottles with burst from the side, I guess the tops were pretty solid.
Aspirin bottles just became flying shrapnel. (Damn childproof top)
Gulden's spicy mustard bottle made a friggin mess. The metal top would hold, but the sides wouldn't.
What about OpenBSD ports?
Very cool. Just untar the lasts ports.tgz file into/usr/ports, then navigate through the menus, find what you want, then make && make install.
It will go out and fetch the dependancies. Very cool.
Anyone who has worked on control systems knows that most run their own proprietary networks and communications protocols. So even if these guys got through, they might not even know what they're looking at.
And that could only happen if the automation network has contact points with the other networks. (hopefully unlikely, unless they are stupid).
I agree, it's alive. In fact I'm a user and am bringing more of my friends into the OpenBSD camp. (Away from Win2K and Linux).
Wearing the shirts around the office tends to attact a bit of attention. Especially the "So long and thanks for the passwords" one.

Two lawfirms, one address! And of course it's the same friggin Nigerian Bank scam thing. You'd think that for all their money they could at least get two different addresses!
The worst part? It's in ALL CAPS!
I assume those specific items are for integration to existing infrastructure.... although it does seem strangely specific.

I always thought Planetoids had more style than Minor Planet.
Is 10 hours enough time to do it?
Does anyone know if the "white album" OpenBSD 2.9 cover will make it onto a poster?

Can that popup be any more worthless?
You can't disable it! (no matter what the thing says)

This is insightful? Since when does the executive branch have anything to do with the judical branches decisions?
you sure do have alot of anti-American angst. It's just not worth it man.
So that's why you work for Loki? ;)
what about a laden swallow?
Unless we invade Finland or Sweden,(with 100% coverage), we're ok. I'm sure Abdul Iraqi on his camel is surfing the web on his Nokia.
actually Err.Number will return 0 for a no error function. Sometimes handy..

Timothy, ever think that they went out of business, cause they offered shitty service?

The database is a real-time relational database, sort of like Oracle on good steroids.
I work on tools for the petroleum engineers and operators to optimize oil production.
I have a fan running in my room and office because it's *over* insulated.
Email me if you want a picture, i'll send you JPG.
Buildings that have to be on the ground, eg. Airplane Hangars, Firestations, have thermal siphons that are like radiators for the ground.
They keep the ground frozen with metal fins and ammonia.
