    How far back can you trace it, if you're using IP-spoofing or even an anonymizer of some sort?
    What if you put a server in Canada, streamed to it, then from there streamed out to the rest of the world?

    To view TV content off the net requires more than dialup. So that the market segment is minute. and how many Canadians are there? 25 Million? how many have good connections? 1%? of those, who will want this?

    I remember my first exposure to Plan 9 was in 96, and it was undoubtedly in the documentation. The quote was something like "as an homage to a cult classic, the Bell Labs group called the new OS, Plan 9" or something like that.

    Wake up man, you're wrong.
    With a broken up Microsoft, MS(OS) will now be able to come out with a MicrosoftLinux, and add innovation, which will leave the other distributions scrambling. Oh, and wait, who has more trust from the masses? Microsoft or Redhat or Debian or Slackware? What becomes the most popular distro? KDE/GNOME et al. See ya.

    Oh, and what about MS(Apps)? Microsoft Office for Linux? Yes. Corel? out of business. KOffice? "Why? We have office!"

    I hope the community is not so smug in their view of the judgement.

    True, i forgot that NBC moves clips from A->B->C. I concede that.
    "They may have a disclaimer, but that merely explains their bias; it does not erase it." This is also true. But not explaining your bias doesn't mean it's not there. When a non-techie type hears that disclaimer, he'll write it off for what it is.
    When CNN says something, it's true because "CNN said it". But of course, it has nothing to do with *its* bias.

    Microsoft doesnt own CNBC or NBC, it's a partner in MSNBC, sure.
    Ever notice that they always have a disclaimer on ANY news article on MSNBC that relates to Microsoft? It's interesting that they manage to keep some (slight i suppose) journalistic integrity, unlike the rest of the media.

    Does Tom Brokaw report (or have a disclaimer) that he danced with Hillary at a fundraising party?
    Or that the president of CNN paid to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom?

    Takes no talent to work on your car. NO2 is as simple as running 12VDC to a button, one hole to be drilled, and a full bottle.

    A good analogy would Carbs vs Fuel Injection. Sure, old technology (carbs) were easy to work on, and anyone could do it. Fuel Injection takes a little more thinking to get it right, but it's just as easy.

    OC will always be done, just it will become more involved.

    It seems like the text of the topic is very baiting, and this thread will immediately degenerate into anti-Christian anti-Republican immaturity.
    Every company has lobbyists. Big deal. Thats how business is done nowadays. It's not right, but that's the system. A more balanced blurb would have been "Microsoft hires anti-trust Lobbyists." This place has been going down the tubes lately, with sensational stories.
