Monster does the most ridiculous things to try to get money from unsuspecting customers. My favorite was $150 for 6' of Fiber Optic used for Digital audio. I'm no expert but I bet I could get an undersea data cable for less per foot then that. The really insane part was that since it's a digital signal and it was over such short distances you could use a cheap piece of plastic and get the exact same result.
Well I can do both and in both cases you can produce absolute total garbage, run of the mill just stick it together stuff and beautiful artwork. Just because the end result isn't something you can physically hold doesn't mean that a lot of time, effort and skill didn't go into it.
Start charging yout freinds, simple, efficent and they don't actually mind. I do so with anything I do for a freind that takes long then 15 minutes. Payment doesn't have to be cash of course, I have accepted beer, pies, cookies and free dinners in the past.
My first was with a Knoppix LiveCD back in 2002(03?) which would boot but the X Server would crash(not that I knew what that was at the time) and then it was a week or two with with Mandrake but I didn't like it at all so then I installed Slackware and began learnign Linux the hardcore way. Looking back, it would have been alot easier to have used something a bit more freindly but on the other hand I am just as if not more comfortable doing things using a shell then with a GUI.
I remeber hearing of a study once where they found that people could on average send text messages faster using morse code then with a cellphone keyboard. Although AFAIK this was before things like predictive text and such. Nevertheless though you just need to find 2 muscles that a person is able to control and from there would be pretty easy to translate that to morse code and then text.
Here in Ontario I pay GST when ordering from NCIX but not PST. It's pretty sweet really means I can get express shipping and it will usually come to the same amount I would have payed at a local store assuming they stocked the item.
Why? You could use perfectly smooth hemispheres made from OLEDs over the eyes and them make a dozen headsets and it would STILL cost less then this thing does.
That's what I was thinking. They could just buy some very high density LCD's and pay one of the engineerign students to spend a few weeks rigging them up with a motion detector and headphones? Uses alot less space, power and you get true stereoscopic vision. You would also get many different viewpoints for more then one perspective on the same dataset. In short it looks impressive at first but becomes a colossal waste of when you really think about it.
I personally lead a hell of war agaisnt drugs. Why not last Saturday not only ground parts of the cannabis plant into very small pieces and proceeded to abuse them by packign them very tightly together, I lit them on fire. I take to ridding the world of all drugs quite often using similar techniques it's a wonder I haven't received more recognition for my truely valiant efforts.
Multiple cuts at the same time definitely suggests some form of planning and coordination in this case. If it was just one I would be tempted to say that it was just some explorers/vandals poking around who poked a bit too hard, in which case they would be lucky that it's only fiber optic and not something that would fuse their bod to their surroundings. Incidentally that's why I always bring a live wire detector when I go exploring buildings, even if its a factory that's been abandoned for 30 years.
Yes his trial may have been a show and didn't actually mean anything. In the end though, he's a guilty motherfucker and he deserved everything he got plus some.

You would be suprised at what can cause a houses price to go up and down. Very often what we would think is a small change will have a huge change on the price of a house.
Whatever they get paid it's not enough, there packing them like sardines in a metal can throwing in a pile of explosives and a nuclear reactor and then shoving it so far underwater plate tectonics will take care of you before then can find the wreckage when soemthing goes wrong.

And for those of us who want something usable there's X-Plane. Nothing against Flightgear but last time I checked it still needed a fair bit of work.

From what I understood it was a work copy so there was still some missing music and the special effects weren't complete.
