Thats not a feature in ipv4 (as far as I know) You could round robin the addresses, but that just splits load (so many servers handle www.microsoft.com) If memory serves, the A6 IPv6 Record Type supports priority.
Oh, I agree... But I'm not talking about the surface, nor am I just talking about the bombs that exist... I'm talking about all the bombs, all the nuclear wastes, and anything else that we don't need that is radioactivly decaying, through it in a big.... very very deep hole... near molten rock (if none, oh... lets say 2/3 to the center of the planet, put all that stuff down there... ofcourse, already have the hole fairly sealed, and detonate some warheads to accelerate the breakdown/increaze the amount of energy that will be released at that given time.
It causes the body to basiclly "grow". Once your fully grown, I would guess that it tells your body to basically regenerate. Its becomming a popular drug for parents who think their kids are "too small". I know a guy who started high school at 6'6" thanks to his mom thinking he was too short at 5'4" a year before.
Not really, because what were counting on is the decay to perpetuate the generation of energy. There gets to be a point, in anything, even in storage sites where you have enough material near by that heat starts to be generated. I remember a post from a few years ago how one of the storage sites had air tempatures that were hitting like 110 in some areas... Were not trying to heat the surface eather, were trying to get the core to generate enough heat and energy to strenthen it's magnetic field. So it retains an atmosphere, and so that the sun can heat the surface. Really, a good study of mars, and it's core would have to be performed... like we would have to drill down as far as possible.. before we could ever even attempt anything such as this. Really, we just need to add enough fissionable material so that the overall radioactivity of the martian core goes up just enough to start the gradual process... Once we get it back on track, it should keep it's self going like a good old nuclear reactor.... until it will need more fuel... at that point, we should have transporters and we could beam enriched uranium into the martian core.
I'm not talking replacing the core... just adding to it's nuclear material... I'm sure all the nuclear waste on earth would be a good start... Well... Whatever we do to colonize that planet, it needs to be done somehow. Preferable.. the natural way. We would need a space elevator at both ends... some sort of large scale transport ship that could millions of tons at impulse drive speeds.
Anybody have any other suggestions for adding energy and fuel to an a cold nuclear reactor to make it very hot (like.... many thousands of degrees hot) in a reletivly short amount of time.
Could somebody put up the sign on the state lines with CA that say "There is no Escape... Turn back Now". tehehehehe
You might be able to find a decent job... but
on
Escape from California?

You may find a cool, sweet job in another state, but be aware, your most likely not going to really find what you want, or where you want it. Sure, some engineering firms are hiring developers again, but things are just downright slow, and nearly non existant. A lot of things have contributed to this economic downfall... and Its not going to fix its self till many things happen..... I'm not going to go into a list, but the.com economy is a good cause of our current economic state in the rest of the country.
I'm comming up on being out of work for three months.... with little end in sight. I have hope, but when you have bills to pay, hope does not spring eternal. I say, stay where you are, or maybe commute from Navada. Yes, I'm serious.
Not reading the story, I bet not. I have had many simular discussions with people regarding this. Our best solution... Is to take a lot of fissionable material, a big, deep hole... perhaps a single nuke... or many nukes, and hopefully start a large enough fissionable reaction that the planet's core can be reheated. The general theory that I'm aware of is that the planet's core began to cool (its a fairly small core, slow orbit, a good distance from the sun. Perhaps we could use some of those good ol nukes to get that planet going.... NOT to be confused with that movie "The Core".
Well... with any cost effective setup, you always have a single point of failure, no matter how hard you try. With enough time, scripting, and use of existing tools, you can remove the majority of your issues, but your still going to have a single point of failure... remember that weekend when/. was down for four days due to the switch taking a dump.... and then the redundant one going crazy or something like that.
Oh yeah its sweet..... I've run a decently large network between linux boxes with it. It worked with out a hitch. I'd like to try cisco-linux/freeswan interop some day... But that most likely wont happen any time soon as I lost my job a few months ago:(
I'm going to try linux-freeswan to linux-native ipsec with gre inside soon.
Clecs have the advantage of when you say "i want x" they will see about getting you x, because in the end they only want money to pay their bills for that month. I tend to look into the finances (like if they are making a profit, and have been making a profit) before I would let somebody do business with them. I tend to see people using frame for just carrying ip datagrams in between offices. Using a Telco Grade Circuit only gets you one thing... a mandated 90% uptime. Buy Accordingly and do consider looking at just buying cheapo a/sdsl circuits and running a vpn over them all. Something such as GRE&OSPF-over-IPSEC kicks ass once setup well.... and using something like GRE allows you to bridge networks if your that insane... Enjoy.
Yes, my personal homepage has info on GRE&OSPF-over-IPSEC.
I'm sorry... but I know there is prior art...... I wrote some stuff using grep four years ago to sift through packets that had set off portsentry. Seriously.... I have a book I got about six months ago... I think its a CERT book... I don't really remember, but it discusses doing that kind of stuff. I wonder what cisco is going to try to do with all this? Hit the linux ids developing people with a DMCA violation/suit or some crazy shit like that? It will only make sense because linux is getting to be way more powerful then pix.
I wonder how cisco plans to abuse this patent... besides... lets start collecting prior art so the patent can be challenged...
Well... Everything in nature is from a pattern.... Hurricanes are on what? 90 year pattern? ice storms is what an 11 year pattern along with solar activity?
So, where is the trending data over a few thousand years saying that man and his theorized greenhouse gases are heating things up? From the trending data that exists, its about time we have another serious cold snap... the kind where you have an ice age.. Hell... It's cold outside right now.
Was there not an artical a few weeks ago, about how they think the polls are going to shift soon... because historically.... its about that time... and the poles are weakening?
Ya know... I know this is not politically correct, but life is not, nor can it ever be politically correct. All this PC belief in global warming boils down to the brain washing of children in schools for the express purpose of slowly dictating every person's life by laws to protect "the enviroment". Hell, In the second paragraph of that "expanation", they say that the teams whole purpose was to find a "climatic reason" for the change in magnetic field.
Remember all the "don't cut down the rain forests, we will die if you do" shit? Did they ever shut up when studies came out that said that really, they only provide about 15% of the oxygen in our atmosphere.... and that 75% of it is done by microbes in the ocean? Jee Wiz Bat Man.
Yo, Slashdot editors, please loose the P.C. Crap.
So... If somebody ever proves with real evidence, and trending, that these greenhouse gases are the culperate for ALL our problems... what are we going to do about those pesky things called volcanos? Tell them that they can't spew millions of tons of greenhouse gases?
Shit... why don't we just move to Mars.... I will gladly take the cause of earth's naturally generating greenhouse gases... It will allow mars to be reborn... oh.. its the core of the planet.
But the keys can be broken... the entire session can give a wealth of information.... Everything from the NTLM Password hashes.... to the data of the session. Since the keys are generated from the NTLM hash, the keys can never be sophisticated, or even secure at all. PPTP over wireless is even more of a risk then using it over the normal internet... because all somebody needs is a yagi from down the street to record everything.
I would suggest a google. Personally. I have not messed with MPPE in over a year and a half, but the design issues remain the same. The ppp session stoping and renegotiating encryption is part of the MPPE design.
I would say your taking a big risk by doing this. MPPE is trivial to break, and is just downright bad by design....If you loose a single packet on the wireless connection, ppp is going to have to stop, and renegotiate encryption if you set it up to be stateless.... so then somebody is going to be able to sniff everything, and then use the nice packages out there to break it, then watch EVERYTHING that is going on with your clients... in about a 10th of the time that it takes with WEP.
Get stuff from think geek.... or buy them little stuffed tux penguins.... Or even better... find and buy the large tux penguins (you know... the ones that are like two feet tall), so they can put them in the passenger seat in their cars. If anybody knows who sells the large tuxs... please post a link.
I used to work for a systems intergrator. Just by general pratice, anything that was mission critical was on a seperate network.... if not two different networks. This is most likely a WinXP machine that somebody played with the stp/vlan settings.
Speaking of teaching hospitals... Yes, they are large..... I live just a few miles from Wake Forest/Baptis Hospital. They add, or renovate a wing a year.... There are always large crains over the building... and since I'm looking for work... I applied there... Even though they had a polethra of positions open for Network Techs, and since I'm well over qualified, and cheap... you would have thought they would have hired me... they did not... they seem to go for bottom barrel regarding techs... cheapest... most likely they think A+ is the best cert you can get.
As of right NOW... its not working... i get a page not found error when trying to load the trailor or the preview...... So... did slashdot/. ifilm? will this mean the mpaa going after the evil slashdot hackers for DoS'ing ifilm's website?
Move back in with your parents... hope they still have a job so they can pay your bills... if you have any. The economy sucks right now... I've been having the same trouble you have... except I blew off college... I took two semesters and was like "this is worthless bullshit", so I ended up working.
I recently lost my job because I would not let my employer screw me (not literly, financially)... So now.. I atleast have the chance to have a love life... I only have car payments, cell phone bills, and other expenses that my parents are kind enough to pay for me.
Tip: Don't worry about it... You will find a job, In the mean time, focus on your love life.
