"Most death penalty proponents" - Do you always paint with such a broad brush? (Personally, I'm happy to think of the death penalty as late-stage application of abortion techniques if that helps you.) Also, "Bad People(tm)" - you've pretty clearly led a very sheltered life if you suggest, as this does, that 'bad people' is not descriptive of an actual subset of human beings. What? You've never referred to anyone as "Hitler(tm)"?

  5. This is so incredibly stupid that only someone with a Ph.D. could have come up with it. Someone, I might add, who's never actually spent any time in the company of the "lower classes." And most of the commentators here are just as bad. BTW, I grew up in a household that lived in one room for much of my first decade. I've actually worked and lived with the people you talk about. Trust me, there are so very hard nosed practical people out there, but there are a bunch and not a minority that are as ignorant as the day is long.

  6. Tech companies upset - that ought to tell you everything you need to know about this issue. Companies like when the government makes rules that enhance their monopoly.

College students who're committed socialists hate people who make good incomes. So, they should welcome this opportunity to begin to pay back that income to which they are not entitled for the benefit of the increased government services they celebrate. Long live equality of outcomes!
