To notthepainter: As a game designer and a digital artist I can respect you venue of art. It is perfectly respectable in this day and age. I make 3d models with Maya and use Photoshop to texture them. Digital sculptures is what they really are. Admitting you are scared of making real life art because of the fear of mistakes is kind of sad, because mistakes to you may be genius to others, that and all artists make mistakes. Not showing them around is the trick. But it is your life.
And none of this changes the fact that Second Life is the worst example of game design ever show to the public, IMO. It is shit. Everything about it's design is shit. It blows chode, dead one's, from a dead goats ass. The Linden company is a joke. They are morons who got a hold of some cash and made the joke that is Second Life. And when they realized that what they made is shit, they went to the public to try and "fix" it. Losers. I hope they go out of business and stop being am embarrassment to the gaming world.

Here it is folks. This $499.99 price tag? Just a clearance of the 60 GB model which is now going out of production. At that point all the 60 GB models will be for sale until they are all gone. Then it is back to $599.99 for the 80 GB model. make of it what you will. I am mystified and rather pissed at these game they seem to be playing with us. Is this Stringers doing? WTF is going on?

Mmmmmmm, seems in the end yah get what you pay for. Quality goods from the get go. Sure PS2 had DRE problems, though I have never had a DRE error myself(honestly), but Sony learned from that mistake and made PS3 a great piece of hardware. In the long term, this will be shown again and again.

Man, my favorite movie of all time is 25 years old. All of the reasons that I love it have been stated above, so I won't reiterate. I hope they come out with this movie on Blu Ray disc. This movie in Hi-Def would kick ass. And I hope they do not change on damn thing. Not one damn thing, from the Final Director's Cut that is!:)
But seriously, while on the subject of dystopian futures and wonderful books, where is our movie version of Neuromancer? I want that story to be made into a movie with the quality of Blade Runner. Fuck The Matrix. Neuromancer is the cyberpunk legend. William Gibson needs to forget the Matrix was ever made and get on the screen play writing horse. That story done right would be glorious to behold in movie form!
Yah, sure. Like flying used to be "Impossible" too, right? Airplanes? That was a stark raving MAD idea. Going to the moon? Crazy as well. Curing the Plague? Putting satellites in orbit? making computers that can fit on a desk top and are more powerful than anything ever conceived of? Oh wait, we did those things. I love it when people discount what has not been invented yet. Because this supposed essay writer knows with out a doubt will and will not be invented in say, the next thousand or so years. If there is one thing that can be sure about us human, is that if we can envision it, it will happen. Worn Hole travel is the key I say and when some unknown genius does invent it, well, all this dumb ass talk of impossibilities will be tossed out the window as humans all race to see who can get the farthest first.
