Another perfect reason that the Internet is the most pure form is Anarchy ever created in the history of the human race. Anyone can do anything they want regardless of what anyone else wants. Anyone has power and anyone can effect everything. I figure all governments hate the Internet, secretly or otherwise.

Uh, NO. I don't ever want games to "more boring". In short I think that guy is crackers. I want over stimulation when I play games. Like Devil May Cry 3. I want adrenaline rushes and laughs. More boring? That is all just crazy talk. If I want "more boring" I will play Nintendogs with my 7 year old daughter. Other wise hook me up with some Star Craft 2, Crysis, UnReal 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, or Lair. That is the stuff I bought a PS3 and an $1800 computer for!
If the Russians had liberated the Baltic Countries, then left in peace it would all be cool. But no, they "Liberated" them just to then take them over themselves and screw them over. Gibson coined the tern Cyberspace in his short story Burning Chrome, the very idea you just described, and perfected it in the books Neromancer, Mona Lisa Over Drive, and Count Zero. The idea of "full cyberpunk force--VR goggles, gloves, and fiber lines in all glory--" is hardly the idea of Stephenson, as talented as he may be.
Is adaptation, which the human race is GREAT at. We will adapt, no matte what. It is what we do. That is why we have huge brains and cunning intelligence(well, some of us at least). I am getting tired of the arguing over what caused it. Humans all need to just get on with coming up with solutions to problems that may arise in the advent of serious climate change. Like food shortages, which are already a big problem in large parts of the world. Imagine if the Bread Basket of America just stopped producing? Big problem. Solutions and adaptation are the answers. Those that don't adapt to the problems facing them will be screwed.
What I find troubling is that people here are defending Child Porn, even virtual, on ANY level. Child Porn should be destroyed on EVERY level. It should not be defended, for any reason. Anyone who does so in my eyes is crazy. Let all Chi8ld Porn purveyors be slapped in cuffs and put away for life. It is what they deserve.
Really? That sucks, because Vote By Mail here in Oregon is very successful. Almost everyone in Oregon does it, no matter what demographic they come from. Maybe the U.K. should take a hint from how we handle things here in Oregon just like the rest of America, aye?
