How about this:
During the install process, detect the registry files residing on a VFAT partition, and open and read it in then?? Why bother starting from the windows end anyways? No "System Information" disks needed.
Ahh.. the good olde days of the 64... I got mine when they first came out.. Only had a tape drive.. Didn't get a disk drive for another 2 years.. I still have the receipt for the C64 somewhere (along with the machine).. Programming assembly in Hes-mon.. Playing Raid over Moscow, Racing Destruction Set, Bruce Lee, Elite (best game ever for the 64), Bards Tale, ARCHON (well, ok, this was the best game ever), and so on... Remember using punter to download? AA BBS's? Color64 BBS's, or DMBBS (I ran Color64 and DMBBS for a bit)..I got so far into as to have a 1581, 1541, and a 20Meg CMD HD on my board.. Damn.. the good olde days...
Semi-true... The police came to reports from his neighbors...
Hmm.. These would be perfect to duplicate that experiment, just toss a low constant 20hz tone into a beam in a building, doesn't have to be loud or anything... Hmmm...
Funny... I spent the same amount for the same computer, except I got a 700Meg drive...
As a side note, this computer is still in use (though upgraded to an AMD 5x86 133 (OC to 160), and a second 5G drive (new controller).. Its a good IPMASQ machine and small server..
I know I'm not the first to mention Nikola Telsa, but he was doing this kinda stuff LONG ago.. Read up on the web (I lost the links damn it!) on Telsa's Colorado Springs experiment in 1901(?)... Not to mention creating an earthquake in NYC a little while later.. His major goal in life was to transmit power without wires.. Most of the stuff I read about in the ABC article seems to me to be very related.

I have no idea about the answer, but I'm going to try it tonight most likely. I'm coming up from a redhat5.1 though.. My system isn't too hard to config from scratch, all my work is in one dir, so I can just back that up, and install and see what happens... If worse comes to worse, I'll just Fdisk and start over.
I'm currently using a 3Com 589D, with a combo adatper, both twisted pair and coax.. You can't switch between the 2 easily (the various drivers seem to assume TP), but it can be done.. I've done it at home before I can a TP setup..
If this is the case, how many calories is the universe?
Surfing the net.... Smell the ocean... Duh..
And I thought I was the only Black47 fan...

Didn't I see an old Commodore PET when I visited NASA (Canaveral) a year or so ago??
