Skype uses proprietary technology. There is nothing to embrace, extend, or extinguish unless you're implying Microsoft bought Skype simply to shut it down.

I tried reading the article, the screwed up page with all it's toolbars, ads and such kept refreshing after a few seconds and jumping to the top of the page. I was interested enough to go to the printer-friendly link an be able to finish the article.
Perhaps the author should include a navigation aid to help you find your content but I hear that they can be unreliable.
One problem is that many sites have multiple security questions and require different answers to each one. You're better off answering the questions truthfully and adding a common salt to the end (or beginning) of each answer.
Apple products carry a price premium that nobody can reasonably explain... you just pay more because it's an Apple.
You (the consumer) pay more because you (the consumer) are willing to pay more. If the the Driod proves to be real competition, then we'll see how Apple responds.
In the late 1980's, during the Administration of George Herbert Walker Bush, I lived in the U.S. State of Indiana, also known as "the Hoosier State." The Vice President of Bush the Elder was J. Danforth "Dan" Quayle, a Hoosier scion of a family with social position and great wealth: the Pulliams, owners of the newspaper The Indianapolis Star. Hoosiers, like the people of the other U.S. States, love their "favorite sons" -- locals who run for the Presidency or Vice Presidency, and especially those who win. In the highly public role of candidate for the office of Vice President and then as occupant of that office, Quayle was controversial, as he would make public statements that were marvels of error, unclear thinking and internal contradiction. The Wikipedia article on Quayle includes some of the better ones.
In those days, I was already fed up with the habit of Quayle and the rest of the Reagan Republican camp of vilifying people whose beliefs ran counter to their own by using the word "Liberal" as an epithet. I felt that Quayle was not qualified for to hold the second-highest or highest offices in in the land. I bought a bumper sticker and pasted it on the back of my car, as close to eye level as the car allowed:
H.E.A.D.: Hoosiers Embarrassed about Dan
I came out of a few hours shopping at a regional mall to find the bumper sticker peeled off my car, folded, accordion-style, and lying a few feet from the car. I was astonished at the attack on my free speech, and wondered at the fury behind it. I calmed down once I concluded that the vandal's action showed that my message had struck home. I replaced the bumper sticker, which stayed on, this time without vandalism.
What the fuck is this shit! You've wasted minutes of my fucking life with your crap. I'm going to find you and take your crappy sticker and stick it on my car cause I need more fucking bumper stickers!
While eating less helps, an increase is physical activity is also needed. How much of each will depend on the person.
The reason that simply reducing the number of calories won't work is because the human body will adjust and become more efficient at storing fat. Existentially, the body will think it's starving and save more energy. Also, when the body thinks it's starving it will take the energy from the muscle instead of the fat because it's easier to convert. So eating less will make you weaker before it makes you skinnier.
Your post is maybe factually correct but there's a little bias there. Let's try it this way:
California is facing some enormous budget shortfalls along with declining quality of services and the Republican controlled administration simply will not consider any new taxes. The Democrats (by no means hard left wingers), tried to balance the budge without cutting vital services but met with a hailstorm of resistance in a state whose politics are dominated by powerful special interests.
General rule is when the cost of maintaining the current solution approaches the cost of implementing and maintaining a new solution then it's time to consider a switch.
Measuring maintenance, implementation, and opportunity costs is left as an exercise to the reader.
Every iPod ever made will play this DRM-free music.
This sentence is key to understanding why Apple doesn't care about Amazon MP3 Store. It's because mp3 files purchased from Amazon will likely be played on the most popular music player, the iPod. Apple makes far more money from iPods than iTMS. Apple will benefit as long as the files from the most popular digital music service can be played on the iPod.
Unfortunately, no. The video is copyrighted the minute it's created regardless if there's a copyright notice. But following the fair use rules, you'll have a defense if you edit or distribute the video.
You can choose to sue but you have to figure out first if it's worth it. The time and energy may be better spent looking for a better job. For you career, jobs are better than lawsuits.

Why use the word "takeover" when purchase more accurately describes what happened?
Predator outdoes everything and everyone except for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It's supposed to be hard; that's how the tool works.

Actually, Netflix accounts for 20% of bandwidth used in the US during prime time hours.
Dual core with a dual battery would be nice
You can have it right now; just buy two phones.

The problem with programming in Klingon is that Klingon function calls don't have parameters, they have arguments and they always win!
Shouldn't the hostname be mal.icio.us?

The machine do calculate correctly; only it gives the answer they want.
I don't remember Groucho saying that...

I hate SAT analogies! Carlos Slim is to not Mexico as George W Bush is to Felipe Calderon.
That does not sound right.
