It's a simple, intuitive interface element that everyone who uses a PC can easily figure out how to use. Yeah, terrible tragedy, that. It's so old and crusty now, right?
I remember it felt amazingly intuitive (coupled with taskbar) coming from HP-UX/SGI/win3 with their big panels, opaque minimized icons,
win9 had even status on some background apps.
Very nice, even today.
On the Nintendo Entertainment System, players pressed the controller's Start button to pause (that is, stop) the game. By the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, many games were adding a quit option to the pause menu, so Start to stop was becoming believable.
The button is like toggling on/off or braking,
same system is found on cassette decks/cd players with play/pause.
Very simple and intuitive.
So, can anyone explain how this is going to affect LED lightning etc.?
I remember reading something about the changing load on AC due to the adoption of LED/CFL instead of bulbs (spike usage).
Will a central DC unit in my house run LED/CFL more efficiently?

Actually pretty impressive for javascript to become leading web scripting language.
You've never imagined having a gun to your kids' head, have you?
life > illegality
No, seen other people's kids addicted to drugs down the drain.
Also, I'm pretty sure the criminals have been robbed from their twinkies long ago, as if I care.
If you give them the benefit of the doubt the best you can say about them is they were naive.
Considering their type of work, daily routine and former employers (banks) it's really hard to imagine they
did not know there's a thin line.
Any shady company is on the wrong side by default.
That's nothing. Back in the 8080s some mates in the Ukrain had issues
with moving rods into a basin.
Used WD40 to clear the stuck valve and fixed those rods in position with some
ducktape.
Never heard anything again
(ungrateful bastards)
So kudos to the winner. And on behalf of the rest of humanity, please never end up in a situation where you get to use your evil skills in the real world!
Generally speaking the top of these contests are works of art.
I don't doubt however this kind of ingenuity is or will be used in the real world.

.. anyone like to share a simple out-of-the-box neural network trainer/demonstrator to play around with neural nets on a novice-to-intermediate level?

Well duh. Free licenses to extend the trial version of course.
Very impressive, writing large amounts of structured code considering the gibberish in the comments.
How is this possible?
