Its a hell of a lot better than the huge amount of copmpanies out there who have a problem and either ignore it or don't know about it.
I don't like them Putting Words in people's mouths

The DRM Scorecard

but as far as this goes: "However, like true Brits, they're soldiering on and releasing it, possibly convinced that it's not much use worry about what those stupid Americans are up to with their software schemes, anyway." I think they got it pretty bang on.
But I'll wait till I can see clearly theres no DRM problems. And then I'll wait for a price drop. And then I'll wait to see if Blu-ray becomes dominant/affordable. And then I'll wait for some really good games to come out....And then I'll get a PS4;)
When these people have probably spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, and of course hundreds of dollars more than other products with the same features they aren't exactly going to be the first people to admit their mistake are they.
STOP THAT CRAP! I'm sorry, but it really pisses me off, the point is, emusic covers a large amount of songs that itunes doesn't and vice-versa. Personally I think its a bunch of crap the way you (lots of posters not only you) make out like becuase you can get britney spears cheaper than Eminem you are going to download britney instead, if they covered the same songs, I'd agree, but they don't, so stop.
Surely theoretically, if the RIAA sues someone, and taht person had never bought an album, then there is good reason to beleive the person would never buy any of the songs, so the RIAA has lost nothing, and therefore has nothing to sue for.....?
Generally the person making the claim has to prove that the claim they are making is true, not the otherway round. If it were used in the persons defence against the RIAA that 750/song was unconstitutional then it may be the other way round, but IANAL.
Rather than all these crappy mileages, what they should do, is get a distribution with the big petrol stations, make the power cells easily removable, you pull into the traditional petrol station, and instead of sitting there for the next few hours charging the battery, just slip the used one out and slide in a new one stored at the petrol station, of course the petrol station recharges your old one and charges a fee for the fully charged new one, it would be cheap, greatly increase the range and all the recharging worries that are currently around would be gone.
I think its just someone with really bad taste for style deciding to use that style of border and in silver while the rest of the OS is left in a preset.
What kind of incompetent business woman gets angry at an emoticon when they apparently just lost a huge deal at the last minute. It sounds like this did happen, but it was a small deal, it was cancelled right at the beginning and the woman got angry because she didn't get the deal and as a result just completely overexaggerated to make herself feel better.
To your forth point, read the first sentence again: "I have the urge to commit my 24" Core 2 Duo iMac to a single Linux operating system, thus giving up the goodness of my beloved Mac OS X. "
Because Microsoft wins anyway. Everyone will know how to use their software, cos the normal kids grow up learning MS Office, and the smarter ones look further for better things, and choose thigns like open office for its moral compass and things, but almost invariably, these will be the same people who have an affinity with technology so would be able to pick up use of MS Office fast anyway, so in the end microsoft gets what it wants a generation who grows up invaraibly able to use their software or at the least learn to use it very fast.
People just aren't comfortable with computers, they're still unsure. So as a sysadmin your main job isn't to give them the best option in an objective way, the main chunk of your time should be spent making them comfortable with their system. Give them MS office, cos they know office, they like office, office worked in the passed, office was always what they used why change now? They don't care if they call you 100 times a day to get it to work, they're comfortable. Then of course they want 2007, its new, its got more stuff, they're sure it'll do everything they need. Of course when you talk to them they'll know that Open office is a perfectly good substitute, and they don't need 2007, but they're aren't sure of it, not like they're sure they like and can use MS office 07.
Office is compatible with previous versions, EXCEPT for the shadows on lines, and the new shiny graphics that no adult would really use in a normal document. These small graphics bits are the only bits that dont translate well. Unfortunately, kids willl love to make their documents better looking and fill up space with that junk, especially if their teachers prize presentation. So I think its reasonable to say the main reason there will be compatibility issues is because of the almost unique use of the program by kids. I don't think this is a good thing, but I do think it is less bad...
As much as I want to sing the praises of Open Office, Microsoft's version wipes the floor with it, I mean, the new graphics and stuff in it make all the presentations and A3 posters which I am made to do at my school. Fact is: Teachers like perfect presentation. MS Office works, it looks good and makes things easy- Open Office is a struggle all the way and doesn't look any good in the end.
If I were microsoft I would be doing cheap deals with schools, I mean, they are going to determine what the kids get used to, plus if the kids see it at school they might buy it for home, as seen here. Not to mention the fact they already do "Student" versions cheaper for students who can't afford the expensive version but whom they would like to have as users for the future.
It'll be a bit of a surprise to him the resutls then, he think he gave you the front door keys, and you just walked in a back door he didn't even know he had and tapped him on the shoulder.
Okay, so now that your thick as pig crap theif has opened up the case, maiming the device forever, and performed electronic surgery far beyond their ability... what's next?
Well, in the harddrive rankings, mine scored 5.9, this was a 160gb IDE drive I have had for roughly 3 years, I think it was 5400RPM. Personally I think the ratings in windows are crap and irrelevant because no one runs vista.
Most governments are actually pretty good systems, and in theory they work, the reason countries got ruined by communism was corruption, a less corrupt system would have succeeded, and I think we'll soon find countries like Afganistan abusing democracy to become a theocracy and it'll be just as bad.
You bought another product that locks you into using a piece of software connected to the interent, so the second you plug it in Steve Jobs can do anything he wants with your hardware, hell, he can steal all the info off your phone if he wants, he can put up a sign on the screen saying "Ha! U SUX TEH COX" Likelyhood of him saying, well done guys, you got me, you hacked the software, there you go, do what you will, or will he do exactly what he does with itunes DRM and download onto your product a huge chunk of software designed to screw you over again and teach you not to screw with him again.
Parliament, who is in the parliamant, MPs, MPs represent the people in their constituency, as the Music Industry only has a small minority in each constituency it should not actually according to this system get any representation at all. Good system methinks.
Also FTA "Cliff Richard and Paul McCartney to carry on receiving royalties in later life." - This is cliff richard who will stop receiving any royalties in MAY 2057! and Paul McCartney who will receive his final royalty in AUGUST 2057! And this assumes they write no more songs or record no more songs. Do I smelll FUD? You cannot just say oh if you do this, such and such (insert fluffy animal artist here) will not get paid beyond the MILLIONS he already has.

Would you change your mind if I were to tempt you with an ePhone to go with eMusic?

Actually, I blame the children - well, kinda.

I'm not going to 19 bloody pages to see this throw away article about a little nostalgia.

They must have copied that DVD of Vista like 3 times!
