I rooted my phone to allow me to install apps with root access, then the phone wouldn't let me update while it was rooted, so I installed a custom ROM that would. If I have to unroot my phone every time I need to update it then I might as well just install a custom ROM.

I think that car manufacturers aren't really forward thinking, also many of their designs take years to finish design, so it's likely they decided on that service 2-3 years before, and just didn't update it to deal with the probable changes in the near future.

Very nice. I hope that more manufacturers follow suit and make plug-in hybrids, to me they are the best of both worlds.

I'd love a Chevy VOLT personally. When I get a new car I'm going to look for a plug-in hybrid as my top choice, I'd love to be able to get by on electric, but I live in a very spread out area and might end up moving to an even MORE spread out area so a pure EV is a no-go for me.

I have a 23 mile one-way commute to school, there's no charging places at my college. For a healthy chunk of EVs that alone would totally deplete the battery, meaning that if there was a charger nearby I'd have to stop and charge every single day. Or I can fill up my tank and go 2-3 days INCLUDING my job in pizza delivery.

I'd love to get a Volt, and I probably will once I finish college. A plug-in hybrid is really the best solution and the one that most people should go for. Would be even better if the generator was multi-fuel.

That's why we need more cars like the Volt. Put a generator in the car as well and you can just refuel the generator for long trips.

The casino assumed the cards that were given to them were symmetrical because they ALMOST were. The player knew they were not and used that to his advantage. Flipping cards that are symmetrical does not help, so the casino did not have a way of knowing they were being cheated unless they discovered the asymmetricality of the cards.

And a big part of the reason is because Europe has cities that are much more closely spaced than the US does. Not only does that directly benefit train usage it also means that those cities were built around the idea of using trains from the beginning, instead of grafting them on 100 years after modern urbanization. It works in Europe, it probably won't here.
