Quite recently a swedish newspaper published a short article about how a group of software pirates had been caught, and the paper also mentioned that they had been using a special program developed just to transfer files, and this dangerous program was called FTP!
I bet a whole lot of readers thought that something as dreadful as FTP should be outlawed...

  6. Forget about the fancy IDEs on Best Way to Get Kids Started in Programming? · · Score: 1

A lot of people have suggested VB,C++ with QT and so on, and the biggest problem with all of these is the fact that they use complicated IDEs (QT has Kdevelop), now I remember learning to code back when I was 8-9 years old, I was coding SV-BASIC on a Spectravideo SV-328, and it was easy and straightforward, or, just easy enough for me to understand. =)
Then one day I was visiting a friend of mine, and his dad was coding C or something (can't really remember), and he was using this fancy IDE (I'm guessing it was Borland), and I didn't understand anything so it quickly bored me.
I guess you get the point of what I'm trying to say here...

You're not considering the fact that the victors of WW1 suffered heavy casualties, and after the war they wanted some kind of compensation, and that was the main reason Germany went broke. And then along came Hitler, a disgruntled former soldier who blamed Germany losing WW1 on a jewish conspiracy.
He then managed to get more and more of the german people on his side, especially aming himself at those whose financial and social situation had gotten worse after WW1. (After this we all know what happened...)

Now, the reason I mention this is that I for one don't trust the security at russian military facilities, I clearly remember reading about someone just walking into one of their military bases and stealing some high grade uranium (I don't think he felt so good afterwards though...)
