it seems to me that it is ALWAYS someone you know that decides to "borrow" all of your things while you are away from home. now that i have done what i can to remove all "friends" from my life, my belongings tend to stay where i left them.
Indeed!!! I was there in Huntsville, TX missing out on all of the goodness of the 'D' grade during the 80's.
I was hoping that someone other than me would have experienced the same and read slashdot, also.
Pressing problems like my drive of 90 miles one-way to work each day. If I only had about $75,000 in cash "money-money", I could pay off my current house and have a decent down payment for a house within walking distance. I don't ask for much. I am a simple man.
I wonder if I could just raffle my current house...
The company I work for makes the parts in what "they call" the hot section of the engine. These are some really awesome materials. I fly a desk so I don't get to play with the goodies.
I normally come here for the insane comments because it helps to pass the time. I almost never reply or comment. This one is too good to pass up. Please, just for me, how you have come to believe e85 will destroy an engine.
Thank you.
scariest book i ever read. probably didn't help that i started reading it when i was 14. i still can't look at storm drains without thinking about/it/.
the company i work for makes parts for the aerospace, science, and energy industries. we produce parts for civilian and military aircraft and land based power generators. we generally specialize in the 'hot section' of these engines. we have manufactured (formed and electron beam welded) quite a few parts for a certain lab near the chicago area. it is really cool stuff.
it is a job title. i generally deny the title when asked, but i couldn't resist a nice little pissing match the Friday afternoon before a long weekend.
i have heard that the language we speak evolves. the way we write and express ourselves is evolving. might someone prefer to capitalize words with importance rather than words that are nothing more than just a title?
of course, i can give very detailed descriptions of what i do and where i work and what i work on, but it would be nothing more than words written cyberspace.
anybody here ever EB Weld niobium?
I have been an engineer for the last 19 years. I just got my high school diploma about 6 months ago. How about that for a 1 percentile pissing match?:~)>
"missing LESS word processing software"
hahahahaha. Yeah. That is what I typed. I guess the humor was too much for you. The massive capitalization was a distraction, perhaps?
My UID is high because I lurked for years and posted A/C a few times and figured I shouldn't hide any longer. "Man up" so to speak... I started reading slashdot on a daily basis in 1999.
How can REMOVING software from an image require testing? How does it make any sense that my computer will become less stable because it is missing LESS word processing software?
Brilliant logic perpetuated by the microsoft apologists.

The United States still leads the world in manufacturing. We won't next year - the Chinese will take over then. short and sweet article to save you all some trouble: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102761476
err. correction: 257mph http://www.egmcartech.com/2010/07/26/video-top-gears-james-may-hits-257-mph-in-bugatti-veyron-16-4-super-sport/
didn't James May just go about 268mph in a car recently?

This is good news to me because I like job security and the longer Fermi is rocking, the longer I am rocking.
I type terribly also. let me try this again: Please explain to me how you have come to believe e85 will destroy an engine. Thank you.

i have long argued this with my "car friends" - a body-on-frame situation doesn't help you much.

i wish i was a weldor. i get to fly a desk all day and draw pretty pictures. besides, how could i surf slashdot all day if i was meltin' metal?
too bad none of those machinists with understanding work here.
i totally agree with you. you make the point quite clear.
hahaha, no, i sure don't. the only real programming i do is CNC programming and i don't think that really counts as real programming.

hahahaha. better look up niobium, kid. :~)>

I would have to add 'Transformers 2' to the list of movies "doing well with no story".
