Just an observation... it seems that anything with great potential to be good to mankind always seems to come with something equally bad... maybe its some kind of conservation of benefit equality.. but if you think about it.. theres not too many things that come along with benefits that do not come with equal detractors. The Internet, with its promise of global communication and sharing has now become the tool for government control of the global masses. Sounds about right. Sadly.
Although we are probably too far down the rabbit hole for this to matter, I think a view on why we have the 5th amendment and what it supposedly protects us from is in order. It would seem that courts from the 15th-16th centuries, as I recall from history, were in the witch-hunt era. During that time the practice of placing the accused on trial and forcing them to admit to their crimes or face punishment was pretty common. The 5th amendment was directed at these trials I believe. That no person would be compelled to provide testimony against themselves. Since there is no way to foresee what could be used as testimony against someone, it was basically deemed that the defendant had the right to say nothing at all, placing the burden of evidence on the accuser, not the accused. While we argue gymnastics of legal precedence, the concepts of this password disclosure should really revolve around the right of the defendant to remain silent.
A doctrine of pre-emptive strike allows anyone to do anything to anyone at any time. All you need is to instill some fear and get away (quite literally) with murder.
I contend that owning something means you have the exclusive right to do with it as you please and no one else without warrant has this right. What they do with it, how it effects it or any other issue is irrelevant. In other words, it does not matter who does what with your possessions. They have no right to them. Period.
Property ownership should include the right to control what is and is not done to your property. It is not that difficult of a concept to grasp. No one should have the right, without a warrant, to have any interest or action upon someone else's possessions without the explicit consent of the owner. This is a basic right here.
Property ownership does not include the right to control what happens to that property. Is that what I am hearing this judge say? TFA does not specifically say it is or isn't a govt vehicle but I suspect it would say so if it were. What in the Hell have we become...
The mess is loose in the wild, our food biodiversity is down to a handful and like someone above mentions.. its destroying mammals organs in non-Monsanto tests. Our Govt has sold our trust and food supply to the highest bidder and now we get to pay in "free" health care costs. Any research on this with the slightest degree of skepticism for the almighty GMO is blasted as Luddite and we as a group simply don't care. Sometimes I think we really deserve the crap we get fed. Literally.
Stop right now. Yo are opening up yourself to liabilities for work you should not be doing. You will be the first scapegoat to get hit from your supervisor at the first whiff of a problem. Do your job and let them hire programmers if they need them.
Whats your experience with the timeframe between DNS updates in namecheap control panel and when it hits the web? I know the whole it depends on ISP's, local DNS settings yada yada thing.. my experience with godaddy is changes come through within 20 minutes almost all of the time.. round about.. is it comparable? I always tell the client up to 72 hours.. but it seems godaddy is mainlined to the root for how quick the changes come up.
I actually have a reseller account at hostgator and looked into their domain registry services a while back.. I just revisited them and this is their page..

I played the "keep up with the latest phone" game for a long time and then quit cold turkey. After the initial withdrawals.. yes there are real withdrawals, it is amazing how free you feel.. imagine the day you turned in that company beeper.. its like that freedom but 24/7. The addicted will squeel about all manners of why they need them.. For me, it was like shedding shackles.
I had to take a drivers ed course a while back.. I decided to do it online.. what they did that worked pretty well.. they allowed 3 warnings..warnings went off when the window lost focus and between that and random questions like what was the color of the car in the last section(another warning) they pretty much locked down the test.
You could maximize the window and tell them if they lose focus on the window (do anything else, open any other programs, surf the web, etc..) they fail the test. Have the app close the window when it loses focus or lock the app with a big message which has to be test-admin reset.
Call me tinfoil hat, but I am decidedly opting out of services and features which are google enabled or supported. I used FF until it became unstable and then decided to give Opera a fair shake. In the last week it has proved every bit as agile and functional as Chrome/FF and does have the requisite adblock. Its been quite a few years since Ive loaded up Opera and I am very impressed with the browser. My only reservations are some of the libraries which are google-written and licensed. Still, very good browser and ecosystem. Give it another look if you havent passed by recently.
I think programming and IT in general should be taught but it shouldnt be scattershot on everyone. They should find out if the kids are interested in it and competent first or else it will simply be wasted time.
I am a web developer, do the LAMP thing as well as some ASP, VBscript, Javascript..Flash..yada.. I do pretty well and enjoy it.. I tried to get my kids into it and they had zero interest so it was a no go for them.
I really think you can go a lot further by getting the ones who are motivated and interested, maybe like an apprentice style thing..but that would require a lot of work by the teachers and system in evaluating and listening to the kids and not just handing out multiple choice tests on state approved agendas.
Michael's Voice: Making a spy series is easy if you have the right mixture of elements. A sexy assistant, a drunk friend, and a procession of women in need make for good TV.
Seriously.. Ive begun to sound like him and the wife literally lols.
There are a couple pics in TFA. It appears that there are various multi-mile area targets. HAARP sized comes to mind. I mean.. if you could get that accurate, you would have the next perfect weapon.
No.
Next Question.

Where are the flying cars.. I was told there would be flying cars..
There is no honor in being a mercenary for corporations and a corrupt government.
I fully believe if soldiers were fighting against a foreign invasion they would not have the same mindset as Xi/Blackwater.
I browsed around the "guide" and it felt a lot more like a platform advertisement than anything useful...

From a first-look impression.. this looks promising...

Which redirects to this.. https://www.registryrocket.com/default.asp?ec=5103184A-8C21-4EFA-ACA0-0
Which is not very confidence inspiring..
Their webhosting is pretty good to great.. this.. I wouldnt drag up my gang of domains to..
I am in up to my eyeballs at Godaddy. Who has similar prices and services that are worth changing to?
Then let them have the security and stability while you're at it.

Is there in fact a point here people cant be scared into voluntary submission of their freedoms? I am beginning to think the answer is no.
