One reason that this is good is because it is exactly what M$ fears. The reason M$ fought (fights) Firefox so much is that it will make it all that much easier to switch to Linux, or even Mac, when the browser doesn't change. Instead of switching the platform under the browser, this just puts a platform in the browser. Now it will be even easier to switch.

My personal opinion of the seventh book is that it is no longer a children's story, and is in fact closer to 1984. Also, and some point Travers, as he walks with who he thinks is Bellatrix says 'Gold is a pain.' (Or something to that effect) I always knew Voldemort was a commie :)

So your argument can be summarized as follows: The law shouldn't be enforced because SOME laws are not good. If laws are bad/wrong, they should be repealed. Don't whine about the law being enforced because you don't like it, change it.

Government is customer managed and you get what the majority deserves... No. The US government is an Aristocracy that continues to persist because it brainwashes enough of the populace to believe its democracy. People with money govern, and you get... nothing. In fact you pay them.

Not all government is bad and wasteful; it can and does out perform the private sector more times than Americans are sold to believe. The government cannot possibly outperform the private sector because what they do is take money from the private sector and pay some of it back to the private sector so they can make stuff for the government, and give the rest to special interest groups. Since the government does not produce anything, they can't outperform anyone.

Correction: US wages, in some kinds of jobs, are kept low (but not artificially) by inflow of ILLEGAL immigrants, who don't have to be payed minimum wage. In fact, US Wages, in most kinds of jobs are kept artificially HIGH by the lack of flood of legal immigrants. Essentially, because there is no competition for the job, wages are high. Immigrants come, and as they are willing to work for less, wages go down. Market value of a job is where everybody with the skills to do a job has the ability to take the job (immigrate, find a house with a decent commute etc.)
