Actually if I'm not mistaken it's not the mining of uranium that's the problem as uranium in its natural state isn't that radioactive, all the problems arise when it's refining to reactor grade.
And a couple breeder facilities would eliminate the need to mine any more uranium for a good 30-40 years.
The reason these things aren't built has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with technology, it has to do with politics and economics (which are unfortunately VERY intertwined).
Note: IANANP (nuclear physicist), but I hope to be one some day
that's a really good idea, but the problem with it is you would effectively be suing voters. And i'd only imagine that being a bad idea when you're constantly concerned about what you're going to be doing in 4 years.
Interesting isn't it that unions were first created to protect workers from the crazy expectations of their employers, now they only seem to protect lazy employees.
Unless not being lazy is a crazy expectation.

that's intresting, i never knew this had a name, but this is how i've been studying for the extent of my college career.
I think it might become self-aware if that happened....

Actually the Gates Foundation has absolutely nothing to do with Microsoft, other than being founded by the same person.
except in this case the saying is "don't throw chairs in a glass house"
You know... we could just tell our own politicans to do that and save canada the trouble

I made this argument a while ago to my philosophy professor against free will, he thought it was a load of bull. I wonder how he'll respond?
Yes, it is a bus, but it transfers at the speed of light
