Their hands are in enough things at this point that even if facebook itself stops seeing use (long time away) they'll still live a long long time in other ways.
They do actually make an attempt at showing you ads they think you want to see. They frequently know a surprising amount about you by the time the ad hits your eyes. There are a whole bunch though that are just displayed to about everyone everywhere though. Those ones tend to be the most annoying.
I'm curious if the categories available for download will be considered enough in the long run to satisfy the EU laws. If they know there are more categories and that they're not providing it all, is that considered holding back to much by those laws?
If you run a site that is accessible internationally, how can you ensure that you're always abiding by all nations laws? At what point can a country up and decide you're breaking one of their laws and they can start fining you?
Nowadays with things like OpenId and Disqus, it's very easy for a site to allow users to customize what provider they go through for a login. Restrictions like this seem just plain silly.
Believe it or not, some of us actually prefer the feel, texture, and overall appearance of a BOOK. eBooks are nice and all but even when they're printed, they're no where near the same.
I will admit: seeing all these Bargain Book stores around Ann Arbor and Lansing, MI selling Borders property for $.25 a piece really has quadrupled my book collection. I may die before I ever get a chance to read all of them.:)
I actually had an issue with Dell laptops shocking me years ago on my inspiron 1150. My laptop kept dying and when I called Dell tech support about it they always ignored the fact that it shocked me and stated that the reason my laptop dying must have been a RAM or a motherboard issue. After 3 times having those parts replaced and it dying shortly after each fix I ultimately got a manager to just send me a new laptop after hours of arguing with them.
I honestly don't think I will purchase another product from Dell again. The last item I purchased from them was a monitor and even that ultimately ended up having issues.

Finally a use for crippling depression?
I wonder how many people somehow missed that, and then scrolled back up to see.

Is the archive of Zuckerberg's pictures still up somewhere? Every link I have been sent has been devoid of images.

Holy crap that's a terrible thing to ask of your employees.
This really seems like quite the abuse of the fourth amendment. The whole lack of a need for probably cause is extremely troubling.
A nasty blow to privacy.
It will be extremely interesting to see how this holds up in courts. It could impact a whole lot more than just social networks.
I'm glad they finally got around to adding this. Business support will be a big help with getting people to make the shift from Facebook to Google+.

He never said anything about forcing the companies to do anything. He just stated how the reshipping centers came about.

It's a shame Amazon doesn't sell physical books then. Oh wait... http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books
Appropriately enough, when you search for Lodsys in wikipedia. It says.... "Did you mean: lousy" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=lodsys&sourceid=Mozilla-search
Facebook is old news. The hip thing now is to obsess over tweets.
Appropriately enough, PostRandomonium covers tweets too.
World needs food badly.
It's so sad when a parent outlives a child.
Not in this case...
For all we know that's where Osama Bin Laden is hiding. We must get there quick to continue the search!
Actually, I suspect that 2 of them are no longer my girlfriends because I stopped answering the phone when they called.
Oh, so you defend your use of a stereo type by promoting another stereotype that women like to talk on the phone way too much? :)
If the vast shoe collection fits...
Leave us out of this...
This is the same company that still says that gmail is in "beta." I'll be shocked if it is no longer "beta" within the next 4 years.
